Easy setup and simple instructions
The NETGEAR Wireless AirBridge Kit (WBC502B2) is a very good system, it has been running for 7 weeks without a flicker. The distance between Master and Sattelite is 500' and line of sight is good. The kit comes preconfigured and the set up is very easy. Just follow the simple instructions that come with the units and it won't take 30 minutes to have these ready to install outside. I am using the AirBridge for POE security cameras and an access point at my shop. I tried another similar system and sent it back because it could not maintain contact with the router. I have a NetGear power adapter that has worked perfectly for 6 years and should have tried NetGear's Air Bridge first.

This product comes in one box as 2 separate units. 1) Master and the other 2) Satellite
Easy setup, make sure you purchase this as a set/kit (NETGEAR Wireless AirBridge Kit (WBC502B2)) as the master unit must be installed to the base router and sends the 5g signal to the satellite unit. Follow directions for install, must read several times to comprehend. Once the master is installed, the satellite must be connected to a AP or access point router. A regular router will not work. You can find AP access point routers fairly cheap on amazon. This unit is very well built, no problems distance in my application is over a 1/4 mile to my barn with high signal strength on the satellite unit and AP access point. Great product

Easy Setup & Install
Purchased these to bridge two buildings that are 200 feet apart.I was able to install each unit relatively easy and position them with a good signal despite one tree being partially in line of sight. The insight app is relatively easy to use and get everything configured through.Signal is strong and reliable even in inclement weather I have not had issues but it has only been up and running for 3 months. My wireless speeds in the remote building are actually just as good as our main building which was very impressive; pings are ever so slightly higher.

Needs 6 stars.
Only first month but this product has far exceeded my expectations. Set was easier than I expected and I’m IT challenged. Set it up for a office/game room just over 150 yards from my house, with transfer speed in the 300Mbs kids can gam and stream shows at the same time.

Nice Kit for a Specific Use - Challenging Directions...
First off, a bit of context setting - I'm an IT professional with 15 years experience AND I had a specific usage in mind for this device, covering a particularly challenging wifi deadspot that other boosters don't do well with.Given that, this is a great kit - basically it's a high-powered wifi access point with a directional antenna and an equally high-powered receiver that turns that wifi signal into a wired network. To that end, if you point the devices at one another, you can pass your internet connection wirelessly over a LONG range. I haven't been able to test exactly how far, but at least a few hundred feet is well within reach and I have no reason to doubt (given the signal at that range) that it would go at least a few thousand with clear line of sight. The devices all seem very high quality and the Netgear Insight app is nice. Big bonus is that it comes with a custom Power over Ethernet injector so you can feed the access point with both power and network over one cable - and Ethernet cable is easy to run and plentiful. This also helps with waterproofing the device. That said, there are a few things that caused me to drop a star.1. The devices each require at least one, but more likely 2 Ethernet cables...so that's 4 total cables needed, none of which are included. I know that's likely because they couldn't possibly guess the length of cable needed for your application but it still seems like an odd omission to not have any.2. The directions and initial setup are supposed to be easy...but they're a bit tricky. The device takes a while to boot and apply any change, but there aren't good indicators that it's still working, so it's easy to think it's not working. While I was able to get it up and running reasonably quickly, I still had to do some trial and err - and I could see a less technical person getting frustrated.3. The default mode and instructions assume you will use the Netgear Insight app to configure and manage - which comes with a $10/year/device charge after a free initial year. There does seem to be self-management available without the app, so I'll likely pursue that.I would also say this is meant for a fairly specific use case - these are directional antennas and do not generate a broad signal. But if you have a specific deadspot or need to say share internet connections between buildings without running wires, then this could be for you!
