Not cheap... but you get what you pay for.
This review is for the 12' model...Got this to go paddle boarding with my entire family and pull double-duty as a solo craft. After a few weeks of ownership with heavy use, I can give it my full recommendation. It's built to last, with great fit and finish details evident throughout. It has had room for my wife and I and our two kids and little dog. I've also taken it out on my own (with the dog!) and while I wasn't going to break any speed records, had no problem doing a 2.5 mile trek around the lake. I like the bright yellow color which makes us easy to see on the water. It's far more stable than a standard-sized paddle board, which is great when the water gets choppy. If things get choppy enough, the front paddler might have to paddle from a kneeling or sitting position, but overall, it handled everything that was thrown at it.Inflating is an exercise if you start from scratch... I usually position the vacuum exhaust hose over one of the two filling ports and fill the paddle board as far as I can and fill to proper pressure (12-15 psi) using the hand pumps. As for the paddles: they are stout with carbon shafts and rigid plastic on the fins, allowing for very little flex. Cheaper paddle boards will often come with oars that will break on you or require an upgrade. Not these. They are tough, light, and churn water like crazy.Like the title says - there are cheaper options, but if you want a quality paddle board with quality oars, this price is worth it. Buy.

Huge family fun
I was on the fence of the 12ft vs 15ft and since we have a large family (and a dog) we went with the 15 ft. It's huge. I use a portable electric pump and one of the manual pumps to inflate, total time is about 20 min. to 15 psi, so not so bad. Few notes. The board does not come with a leash (it doesn't state it does, but for some reason I thought it did)... finding a leash for this monster is well a matter of taste because you should have one, but you'll never get one long enough - and really a leash that long might be a bit of a hazard. Two of the four fin's were bent over failry badly when I first set it up, which is not a big deal - I used a hair dryer to heat them up and get them back in place. Other then that the board is awesome. Two adults can easily move it to the water and really one can manage the paddeling with some effort. 4 stars just because the fin's were bent and it would have been nice on a board that cost over 1k to have a $12 leash included.

Massive!
Easily pumped up with 2-stage air compressor. carried solo down to water edge. Easily fit myself, dog, and 2 others and gear (2 paddles, dry bag, etc).

Awesome spacious board easy and relaxing to use.
Awesome spacious board easy and relaxing to use. I will admit I was skeptical when purchasing a paddle board from amazon. I wanted something that would be tough durable and long lasting. I would highly recommend isles boards. I picked the megalon for a few reasons. I wanted a board that I could bring both of my dogs on comfortably while still being able to pack my camping gear on it. This board I admit can be slow moving when the waters choppy but it’s tough as nails. I have taken this board into the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness Area twice now on extended trips and it’s done magnificent. The shores and portages can be rather rocky there and the board has held up wonderfully. As the description states it is made for multiple people but that doesn’t mean you aren’t able to paddle it on your own. It will be more of a work out but definitely doable. If you have larger dogs or friends you want to be able to take out on the water I would recommend this board. Also much much more sturdy and stable than a normal board. I have no fear of tipping this board. You would really have to try to tip it even in choppy water in my option. Great board overall and I would recommend

Tons of fun but needs carry bag
Love this infalatable SUP. Super fun to have. Was able to accommodate several people on it all at once. Kids loved it. If we go to the beach without it kids don’t have as much fun so buyer beware...once you bring it to the beach you’ll always have to bring it or else! Took off one star because it did not come with a carry bag like their other inflatable SUPs. I get it, it’s huge but more reason for Isle to supply a bag to transport this monster. Noetheless, very satisfied with purchase.

Perfect party paddler....
The Megalodon is perfect for what I do, 2,3 people , my dog and I. Very stable, easy to paddle, even in the wind..I highly recommend it, pumped up easy, 2 great pumps included...For it’s size, easy to carry, up and down hill to my dock...it’s worth the money...

String, Stable and Fun
It is built very well. I got a mushroom anchor and leave it out in the water for the kids to use a swim platform and they love it. Several kids can be on it at once and it’s fun to see two paddling it around. I have paddled it solo for a few miles while fly fishing from it. It’s so stable, but very slow (of course).
