I use these primarily on wood, but had to do some metalwork (steel) with them, too. They work great and do not chatter like the multi-flute type do. They get very hot, due to the rubbing of the non-cutting part, so watch yourself.

Very smooth. Minimal chatter. Shafts could be a 1/4" longer. Case cover is a challenge to open, and because the cover doubles as a hanging loop, I'm loath to discard it

I use these in my woodworking. I know they're more designed for metal work but they do perform superbly. Beats all the other counter sinks I've ever used before. I also use it on aluminum T-tracks, where I needed to add additional holes. Worked with perfect counter sinks.
