Google Nexus 5 Battery Case 2860mAh (Black Limefuel L28N5) Rechargeable External Battery Protection Case

I bought this unit in replacement of I-Blason battery pack for Nexus 5 that just did not cut it and had too many bugs/flaws to my taste.My impression after a few weeks of use of this Limefuel battery pack is that it is a very good product, here's why:Pros:-Tight and well aligned fit with internal micro USB connector.-Highest MAh battery case easily available for Nexus 5, so it will run longer.-Charges phone at 2A, not 1, so you can use Nexus 5 (1.2A hungry) and still charge under heavy use.-Back green light and button act as they should...quick press and you get the charge status of battery pack with green LEDS without interfering with charge cycle (either on/off) and a long 2-3 second press of the button will either charge or stop charging. (the I-Blason battery pack does NOT do that).-Size of battery pack is still not too bulky, as a matter of fact I really like the weight of the phone with it.-The material is soft and still has good grip when holding it and operating phone with one hand.-Overall good quality feel.-Edge of pack is slightly above phone glass, but just enough to protect phone glass, while not interfering with phone use, as you will not feel uncomfortable bumps while maneuvering near the edges of phone.Cons:-battery case itself charges at 1A (and says on instructions to keep it at that), so it is a little slow to charge, but comparable to similar products.-The overall design / look is bland, not very sexy or techy, so I take a star away for this.Overall a great product that performs as advertised.MARCH 2015 update:Unit died on me in October/November 2014. I did take it to my nearest office depot/Staple recycling center... The unit just would not charge back up again and had less than 100 cycles on it.

I used to love this case. At least I did for six months. Then it stopped working. The case has never been dropped or abused in any way, and is in mint condition other than the fact that it will no longer take a charge or charge through to the phone. Of course there don't appear to be any left available on Amazon.(Update)I emailed Limefuel and provided my documentation of purchase. Within 24 hours, they emailed me back. They will be shipping a replacement unit to me. Excellent customer service so far. I will provide further updates after receiving the replacement case. I have upgraded the review to three stars in light of their speedy and hassel-free customer service.(Update)Limefuel has replaced the defective case. It arrived quickly. I fully charge the case by itself before installing my Nexus 5 to the case. The phone has been in the case for a few days now, but I haven't had to recharge the phone with the case yet. So far, no problems with charging the phone from the wall charger while it is in the case. Raising the rating to four stars now. Excellent customer service.

I like this case. It has a nice form factor and material finish. I wish the top was tapered more like the Mugen option. The case has a front and back that solidly snaps together. Because of the front back snap design though this is not a case that you will be taking the phone in an out of frequently. This will be a put it on and keep it on kind of case.The bottom of the case is quite long and unfortunately they chose not to use that space for deflectors to make the speaker and microphone front facing.The 1A charging current is respectable and adequate and makes this a much better buy than the alternative case that is available.Update: 09/26/2014Unfortunately after owing this product for a short time I have to revise my review. The quality and reliability is not good. The finish wears off of the case easily. I returned one unit because of that and was sent a replacement. The finish of the second unit starting wearing off on the corners within a week or so. More importantly the unit no longer charges after just a couple weeks of ownership. It simple never chargers despite plugging the case in by itself overnight. I can no longer rely on this product.

So I have had this now for 5 months, I have gone through 2 bezels and 2 batteries. First of all, the coating on the bezel comes off pretty easily. The first bezel I have had started doing this within a month. On the first bezel the power button broke after about 3 months and Limefuel shipped me a new one no questions asked. On the 2nd bezel the coating started to come off a week after I got it. I don't really care about the coating too much though, just poor quality. A week or two later, the charging port on the battery started to give me problems. It was loose and it would only charge when I put pressure on the cable to hold it at an angle. Limefuel shipped me a new one, no questions asked. Now after having that one for about 2 months, it's doing the same thing again. I might contact Limefuel again to get a new one again, but I have been waiting to see what the Nexus 6 will bring. But overall, the battery itself is great to have as a backup.Update after 1 year. I have had the entire case replaced 3 times, each one has had the charging port fail after a couple months. Usually it gets loose and I can't get the cable to seat properly and charge. Sometimes I would wake up to a dead phone battery. I had to take the phone out of the case most times and charge it separately to ensure that did not happen. The finish on every replacement has worn off, usually starting to happen after only a couple weeks. The power buttons and volume buttons have broken on several of my replacements as well.Stay far, far away from Limefuel!! Horrible product. At least I got it replaced under warranty a few times, but now the warranty is out and even though the current replacement that has failed is only 3 months old, they will not do anything.
