Coghlan's Water Repellant Utility Stuff Bag

I bought 2 of these for a certain sleeping bag (who's brand also begins with a C) which is notorious for NOT fitting back into it's stuff sack and so glad I did! I spent the extra few bucks and bought a package of 10 cheap toggles since these do not come with cord locks, and I couldn't be happier. They seem well made (far better than the too small sack that came with the aforementioned sleeping bag) and leave plenty of room to be kind to my bag's loft. Great purchase. I will likely get more to store emergency blankets in our vehicles, camp pillows etc since the price is right and I have several more toggles to use!

Wish I payed more attention to the reviews, as others have mentioned it does NOT have a cord lock. Not a huge deal, you can order a 10pk for like $2 on Amazon, the cord is tied in a knot (you just can't see it in the picture) and can be retrofitted easy. There is no way to choose the color that I saw upon checkout or anywhere else. My bag was green, which I wasn't concerned with the color so that is fine. Quality is decent enough. Had some loose ends with the stitching, I tied them in some knots and trimmed the excess, I hope it doesn't come unraveled. The bag is quite large, I stuffed a queen size bed comforter in it along with a pillow just fine, and has a little flap inside on the top to protect the insides once you cinch up the drawstring. Seriously why couldn't they have included a cord lock, we are talking pennies to add. It's funny because another Coghlan's 3-bag thing they sell, the three bags don't have drawstrings, but the little mesh bag that held the three for packaging did... *rolleyes* Makes zero sense...

We were camping and lost the sack for our old mummy bag. This seemed like a reasonably priced and decent quality replacement option. I really debated between a medium and a large. The dimensions on the medium seemed to be close to what the old bag was, but I didn’t want to have to struggle to shove something big into something small. Ended up going with the large and I’m really happy I did. There’s definitely extra room at the top of the bag, but it’s way easier to stuff, and still small enough that packing is easy. Great replacement option. We ended up finding the old bag, but I’m gonna stick with the new one.

This just arrived today so it is not outdoor tested. It is long (actually much longer than I thought) and large enough to hold my Coleman Comfort Control Sleeping Bag (big and tall version that I recommend!) with room on the top! It's much easier to store the sleeping bag in this stuff bag instead of the box the sleeping bag came in and will never fit in again. The Coghlan stuff bag has enough room for other items to keep with my sleeping bag such as a small blanket, camping pillow. As others have said, there is no plastic cinch lock, but those are easy to find and put on the strings. There is a flap of material close to the top of the bag to keep dust or whatever when storing. Overall I like the bag! It seems pretty tough. I think it will work fine when car camping. The photo shows the stuff bag stuffed with the Coleman sleeping bag and a small airplane blanket. There is more room at the top.

I ordered the small size, and it is a perfect fit for my sleeping bag (1 “mummy”-style adult sleeping bag). This is an effective and inexpensive solution for those who have lost/torn their sleeping bag holders.

It advertises that you can put a sleeping bag in it, maybe a sleeping bag from the tropics but not one from anywhere colder. This bag is rated as small but no other size is offered. I bought two so that I could put my sleeping bags in them but now have to put them in new kitchen sized trash bags.

They seem quite sturdy and durable--time will tell! I was able to stuff a slick synthetic sided sleeping bag in with some shoving and pushing, which fits my goal of having the sleeping bags as compact as possible for storage. The only disappointing thing is that there are no cord locks, so you just have to knot the string to keep the tops closed. I'll have to buy cord locks, which makes it not quite as good a value as it seemed.

I store my lightweight summer duvet in here and it is a perfect size. Easy to get it in and protects it well.

I specifically wanted a Black bag like it says in the description but the bag that turned up was Blue like the picture (which I had hoped was a mistake). Inconsistent / Conflicting description.

Good quality fabric, easy to get a standard size sleeping bag inside. I used a plastic toggle to close the drawstrings.
