Fire Wire Stainless Steel Flexible Grilling Skewer, Set of 2

I was tired of my veggies falling off my wooden and metal skewers. I thought about buying the baskets but thought it would be a pain to cut everything the right size so it wasn't too big to fit in.Then I came across this product by accident. I ordered them and we used them the first time Father's Day weekend. WOW! They are GREAT! We were able to get a ton of food on them. When I marinaded them, I didn't have to worry about a sharp skewer puncturing the bag and since the fire wire is flexible, they fit in easily.My husband couldn't believe that the end stayed cool so you could just pick it up with your bare hands and turn it over. We also loved that you could kind of drape it anywhere on the grill since it is flexible. AND, when you move it around you never had to worry about food falling off the end of the skewer - LOVE that!I was amazed at how cool the rest of the fire wire stays too - I could easily take the food off with my bare hands.The ONLY downfall is that the fire wire is just a tad bit thicker than a regular skewer which didn't matter for the meat or stuff like peppers, onion, zucchini, etc.... But if your button mushrooms are too small, they will split (which I also had an issue with using smaller skewers too sometimes). So, if you are using mushrooms, buy a package with larger button mushrooms or just use a larger mushroom like mini portabellos or something like that.I love these - they work like a charm and I'm so glad we ordered them! I highly recommend these!

It hold large amount of food, Cooks better than on a a regular skewer and more evenly. Easy to flip on the grill and can be kept straight on grill or in a loop that's easy to handle. The end is like a knitting needle before it goes on the wirer which I think helps it move and cook thru the meats etc. Love the firer wires and have bought them multiple times for gifts. Easy to store and wash.

made a turducken, which requires "stitching" the bottom of the turkey back together after stuffing the other birds in it. Used these as opposed to twine, and they did good enough. Taking them out without messing up the bird was a little tricky, but saved time as opposed to twine. Definitely not their intended purpose, but I think they'd do great there too.

Well thought through product. Good length to fill up with meat and veggies. The end is easy to push through vegetables and meat. I like the loop thru for space saving on the grill. Easy to clean off. No soaking skewers or wood splinters in the food. Great product that really lasts! Bought these in addition to two we already have for large cook outs.

These things are great for grilling a bunch of veggies at once. They are also perfect for pre-loading and them marinating right on the rope. However, I will note two pretty big downsides for these wires. First, it is really, really hard to turn them over on the grill for even cooking on all sides. Food chunks tend to just roll around on there and the rope style is really hard to manage in maneuvering. You can't really lift them up, or things will slide right off of the end. This leads to my second concern - these ropes are pretty hard to get off of the grill, especially if you have them all loaded up. In theory, it seems ideal to be able to load these bad boys up and snake them all over the grill. When it comes to actually managing them on the grill, that's another story. However, I think the pros far outweigh the cons on these grilling wires, and I use mine all the time. Definitely worth the money. Just be careful not to burn yourself when trying to move them around or get them off of the grill.

These Fire Wires are so awesome! They work great and have made doing skewer grilling so much easier. Anyone that enjoys this type of barbecuing, you need to get these! They are easy to clean and easy to store. When on the grill we typically put the end of the skewer in the hoop and then hang the end out of the barbecue. You can easily grab the skewer without any gloves on and flip the entire skewer. Great product and highly recommend them!

These are perfect for grilling for just a small group. If you want to make kebabs for more than 4 people, I would recommend going traditional, but these are so easy to use. You can put on the ingredients right on, then put them in a marinating container by curling up the wire, so your food gets fully marinated. Also, when you are grilling you can shape the wire however fits your grill best. If you have a small grill or if you are grilling something else at the same time, it is very convenient to be able to shape the kebab however you want.

Awesome product, you will never buy wooden skewers ever again.

Really useful, sturdy and well made. The only issue is that the end is quite blunt (much blunter than a regular metal bbq skewer) so putting the food on is more difficult and a few vegetables split due to the force. Otherwise great
