I wouldn’t use it to place outside. Not unless u r making it to place on a deck where the rain or snow don’t wet it. If u r making macrame placemats, don’t leave them outside after u use them. No, usually you use a mild dish soap to wash this. If you put it in the washing machine it might damage your art.

If your making bowls you may want to use a bigger cord unless your using knots in the cords to make it thicker and to hold the shape better.
