Very pleased with this torch.Although it is a hand-held lantern it is still fairly compact, lightweight and easy to carry and is comfortable..It does not have a facility to focus the beam - but instead has a good degree of side scatter, which provides a good view of the ground immediately in front of you, whilst still providing a very powerful main beam which I really can't imagine I'd ever need more than.It has a High and Low light mode which are easy to access, and even at low I'm sure it would give enough light for most peoples day to days needs.The switch is easy to use - even with a gloved hand.I would thoroughly recommend this torch.

The two brightness settings, activated by the tail-cap button will cover a wide range of applications. Although there is no option to focus or spread the beam, the beam is divided into a wider area and a concentrated spot. Weight wise it does feel hefty, but that lends itself to its robust feel. 22.5cm long and approx. 373grms without batteries and approx. 510grms with x6 AA cells. It has a reduced tendancy to roll on account of its rubber hexagon surrounds at the both front and rear - a good idea. All in all, a very good and well-made torch.

Why did you choose this product over others?:I had one already but was wearing out after a number of years. I like it so I was lucky enough to find an updated version. Size:Fits my hand neatly

Good. It does the job. There's no way to focus the beam width; but other than that, it's fine. The build quality is robust and simple. The battery life is okay for the price paid. It is a perfectly decent torch for dog walks. Beyond that, i.e. home DIY, etc., it lacks the versatility as the beam width remains extremely wide. So yes, great value for dog walks.

excellent two-gear flashlightWhat can I say, it's excellent. I've been using it for two years or more and I'm very happy. I used it as a courier and it was irreplaceable at night when looking for an address, it gives a strong beam of light. And at home I use it to look into the oven :)

A good torch at a good price

3 light strengths, absolutely brilliant lantern for long lasting power evening and night camping or on patio. Robust in construction and it’s a design piece. I love it! To save electricity I use it to light up the living room too. It goes everywhere with me. It’s a miracle!!!I love it’s design and it’s so cuddly I carry it everywhere with me, I don’t use the apartment lights anymore to save the planet. I have two now that I use as it’s darker nights so I have one at either end of the apartment! Brilliant
