🌟 Light Up Your Night Walks with PupLight!
The PupLight Dog Safety Light is a red LED light designed to enhance nighttime visibility for dogs and their owners. It helps illuminate paths, making it easier to pick up after pets and deterring wildlife, while also supporting dogs with declining night vision.

Very cool...definitely helps drivers see us and us see what we are walking into
I had looked at several different "pup light" type of products before settling on this one, mostly based on price, reviews, and convenient shipping options. I wasn't dissapointed when I received the product, once I got it open and figured how it worked! The instrctuions it came with were good (I dislike when something doesn't come with instructions, even if it seems obvious to some people it may not be for others) but unfortunately when I opened the front of the package the instructions tore off with it!It's not rocket science so it was easy enough to figure out - it's a very well designed light. Really does seem to keep the light from getting into your doggie's eyes (although because of her dimensions and harness my dog has to wear hers flipped all the way downward, thus negating some of the light we would have otherwise been able to see) I actually put it around my own neck when I was not able to attach it to my dog's collar and the harness we were using wouldn't allow another collar around her neck, and I was surprisingly able to see pretty well without any light whatsoever bliding me. (Unless I bent down at a weird angle, but that was my own fault for playing around with it in my hand)The only downfall I can see to this product wouuld have to be the awkwardness of the stretchy collar...It's a GREAT idea, especially the fact that it's extendable, but unfortunately from what I can tell it doesn't leave a lot of options for manipulation. Either I used it without the extender and it was just barely fitting and too tight for comfort, or I added the extender and tried to make it as small as possible and it was still way too loose.I've had similar issues with just about anything I try to put on my mid-size rottie-boxer mix, so I can't even say it's really a flaw in the design. It's probably just her odd sizing.I eventually ended up attaching it to one of her old collars that was partially broken when you tried to apply pressure to it but still clasped nicely in order to make it fit, and once we did that it worked like a charm! Surprisingly, she seems to like it, too - Maybe it's the "worker" in her that helps her feel useful when wearing it but I was shocked it didn't annoy her to wear it, especially considering when she has her nose down to sniff areas (which I try to avoid having her do unless its under a command) it sort of bangs into her chest. Again, this more has to do with the way I have it placed on her due to her strange sizing and the harness she wears prohibiting anything being worn too far down the neck area. All in all I'd say it's definitely worth the small amount of money it cost. I've seen products that were much more expensive and not designed anywhere as nice - it's also nice that humans can wear it too if needed (or attach it to whatever) rather than having to go out and buy your own "human" version. Even when you're not walking the dog could come in handy clipped to a hat (working on a car, etc) or looking for something in the dark car. Definitely recoomended for people who walk at night!

Good but not Great
I'm pretty compulsive about walking my dog and during winter that means walking in the dark. People on bicycles with no lights are my greatest fear. I have a Cairn Terrier (a Westie is pictured on the Puplight package and they are very similar breeds) and a bicycle could do serious damage to a dog that size. So I bought the PupLight primarily for safety. The light is well made and in the right circumstances visible from a considerable distance but hanging a light off your dog's neck has some serious limitiaitons. Here are a few examples: My dog tends to have his nose on the ground a good percentage of the time and that really limits the effectiveness of the light. The light does not have a flash feature (the positioning of the light means flashing would probably drive the dog crazy.) I'm most concerned about bikes coming from behind but the light is least visable to the rear. Perhaps many of the issues that concern me go away with larger dogs? But if you have a smaller dog and safety is your primary concern a flashing light that attaches to the lead or collar would cost less and be much more effective. Still the PupLight is better than no light and as I mentioned the product is well made.(Yes....I did follow instructions and remount the light in the manner recommended for smaller dogs.)

Nice and bright but a bit too big
First, let me say that I contacted Puplight directly with a question about water resistance prior to making my purchase. Within minutes I had a response and a back and forth email conversation with one of their customer service reps. That kind of customer service is extremely rare these days and I can't say enough good things about it. Thank you puplight! On to the light itself, it is very bright, which I love and it does do a good job of being visible with long/thick coated dogs. While the collar that comes with it is nice and convenient, it is a bit too big for my Australian Shepherds, so I had to put the lights on collars of my own.My only problem with the light is that it is too big and clunky. Because of its size, it tends to bounce around on the dogs. I imagine that the size is due to the batteries, which is a trade off because using common battery types makes the light easy to use. Either way, it is still a nice light. Probably better suited to on - leash walks instead of off leash rough housing (which is what we do 99% of the time)

I LOVE THESE LIGHTS!!!
I hesitated due to some bad reviews but with Amazon always being so absolutely great regarding returns, I went for it! I ordered two. Upon receiving the one did not want to stay on. Amazon promptly replaced it. So far they are working fine, I have had them about a month, use them every night for my Shepard and Old English Mastif.I have not had any of the problems mentioned in the reviews. I only let the dogs out for their last potty at night long enough for them to take care of business. I have a large property and it is wonderful being able to monitor from the window and know exactly where they are. I used glow collars before, sometimes hard to see if they got behind a tree or bush. With these you have no doubt as to where they are plus the elastic is great, quick to get on and off. And, when they are returning to the house, watching the lights bob up and down is hilarious, it gets a laugh out of me every night. Guess I am easily entertained!

Very nice
I really like the way this makes our dog more visible to cars and also lights up a bit of the sidewalk, thus showing obstructions on the sidewalk. It does have a few quirks which cause me to nick it one star: the battery compartment is rather a hassle to open and the batteries are hard to remove. We use NiMh rechargeable batteries, which last about a week of evening walks, so this is a bit of a headache. Also, despite the fact that its collar comes with an extension piece for larger dogs, there is a mid-range of sizes that is not covered (because the extension piece is too long). A bit of sewing will fix that.Despite the quirks I'm very glad we have this. I have not seen anything better.
