Couldn't be happier with this product! I start to really pay attention to my water quality when the Flint MI water issue came into the national spotlight. I started to wonder if my gradual hair thinning and harsh texture and the temporary redness of my face could be due to the water quality? I bought this item based the strength of the positive reviews and I have not been disappointed. After a month of use my hair is much softer and manageable and the facial redness I experienced each time I washed my face is now gone. A couple times I slipped up and did not use the filtered water to wash my face and I immediately experienced the redness and itchy syptoms. Also, installation was quite simple. I was able to do it by myself in about 5minutes.UPDATE 08/30/2017- WILL NOT PURCHASE AGAIN AND RESCINDING BUY RECOMMENDATION - purchased and installed in FEB2016 & had to discard earlier this month. The water flow became extremely weak and charcoal bits from the filter kept winding up in the both the shower arm and the tub spout through some sort of weird reverse water flow / downgrading review due that short life of item

This product is an old friend. I've used it years ago and had to reorder but I live out the country of the US, so it not always easy. I trust it and will continue to use it as long as possible. Haven't installed the new ones as yet, but in the pass it did wonder for me hair and skin. So get it and you too will see the good in this product.

I purchased this HotelSpa 1136 Replacement Shower Filter Cartridge for Universal Shower Filter Model #1126 and HotelSpa 1130 Ultra-Luxury 6-setting Rain Shower Head with Shower Filter System for my initial purchase (June 2016) of the HotelSpa Ultra-Luxury 6 Setting 6 Inch Rainfall Shower Head and Universal High Performance 2 Stage KDF/CAG Shower Filter with Disposable Cartridge (Premium Chrome Finish). I know this HotelSpa 1136 Replacement Shower Filter Cartridge is filtering my shower water because the water runs clear, whereas my unfiltered faucet water runs brown at times. Interlink Products has integrity and really cares about their customer's satisfaction so I highly recommend their products!

As a shower head filter for chlorine, this is one of the least expensive cartridges you can buy. There’s a reason for that. More expensive filters (apparently) wash their charcoal before assembling them. After installing this one, let the shower run for a good 5 minutes and expect to have black charcoal all over your tub/shower. After the initial purge, the water is clear and cartridge is presumably doing its job.

I used to come out of the shower, dry off and be itchy. Our water in Southern California passes through a lot to get to us and is treated with chlorine and chlorimines. Immediately after installing these, the water felt different, silky somehow. The itching stopped, I needed less soap and shampoo to get the same results. My hubbie even noticed. For me, these are so worth it. By the way, I have much less chemical buildup on my shower doors.

Originally purchased when I was living in Green Bay. The water there literally burns your skin. Friends would complain after they’d shower or wash their face. So I bought this and it helped tremendously. I continue to use it now that I’m no longer living there and get comments from family and friends about how soft and curly their hair is. Inexpensive product that does its job. Easy to install and replace too. Def recommend

I can tell a difference with this filter and my Rain Shower Head. The Chlorine was so bad. I can't smell it now. Impressed. Will keep getting these as we live in Texas and they put enormous amounts of Chlorine in the water. My hair is softer. I know cause I washed my hair in my other shower that didn't have one and my hair was extremely dry then I realized I don't have one in there. Getting another for it. Thanks again Amazon.

I went to the garage to get proper tools to change the filter. I did not need to even do that. The threading on the inlet/outlet housing unscrewed and then the stems from both ends unscrewed and I replaced the filter WITHOUT any tools. Changing filter could not have been simpler!
