SidePillow by Tempur-Pedic

Purchased MANY memory pillows over the years due to sleep issues due to chronic neck/shoulder problems without relief until NOW! Now mind you, I prefer firm/hard memory foam over soft, sleep with head of bed elevated due to asthma/Gerd and sleep on my sides. Worked 100% better than the other expensive alternatives which I have unsuccessfully tried (like the therapeutic pillow, splintek pillow, cervical neck roll, contour pillow, tri Core pillow, memory gel based pillows as well as other tempur pedic pillows like symphony and Neck Pillow). I have also unsuccessfully tried unconventional pillows made from buckwheat and micro beads. Since I have purchased this pillow, my sleep issues went away as well as awakening during the middle of the night with more pain than I went to sleep with. I no longer toss and turn with unconfortable sleep due to chronic neck and shoulder pain. Very Thankful that I tried this pillow. If you are a side sleeper with neck and shoulder issues and prefer harder memory foam and sleep with the bed elevated this is definitely the pillow you should try.

The shape of the pillow is a little too restrictive. For it to be comfortable, your head has to be right in the dimple part, otherwise it strains the neck. Also, it's too shallow. Should be a couple inches higher.

I bought this to replace an older Tempur neck pillow. The other reviews on here talking about how firm this pillow is were entirely right. While my old one stuck a nice balance between soft and supportive, this pillow misses that mark. While I'm sure there is some benefit to the added support, it simply isn't comfortable. It feels like your head is laying on a hard, flat surface, which is simply uncomfortable. I switched back to my old neck pillow within 20 mins and plan on returning this one.

I was truly hoping this pillow would work for me. Unfortunately it didn't help me sleep better. On the contrary, it was difficult to fall sleep while trying to get used to it, which, I never could. My cat, on the other hand, loved it!!!

It was a good pillow... But it ended up being worse for my neck than better. I woke up with painful kinks. I am a 110lb female and I think the pillow was a little too big to be comfortable.

This memory foam material really feels NOTHING like the more plush foam of the older Tempurpedic SidePillows from between 10-15 years ago. This foam is way too firm and doesn't conform to the head and neck like normal memory foam from this manufacturer. Tempurpedic used to be good but is probably cutting corners and sourcing subpar foam from China, banking on their name now. We are a bit shocked at the new foam, but we aren't surprised, as many once-great companies are going cheap now. We see much higher quality and much more comfortable foam from cheap Walmart pillows compared to this new foam. Bring back the old memory foam!

I liked the idea behind this pillow and was anxious to try it because of a compressed nerve. Unfortunately, it is a little too tall to fit in my neck. It seems like the pillow is also designed for someone to not turn over. It's hard to readjust when you do, as it sort of grabs your face. I did receive a slight feeling of claustrophobia.

I like the shape of this pillow but it is very, very hard. If you tap it with your knuckles it makes a knocking sound. The reviews warned that it was firm but I never imagined a pillow being this hard. So unless you like a very hard pillow look for something else.
