Restored my 2010 Mac mini
Updated a Mac mini after the time machine restore reverted it to the original os x..disc worked seamlessly without losing any HD data

Wasted $$ / Unable to use it
DVD may be good, but I tried the install on 3 Apple PCs using a fresh/new HD installed, but found it simply would not work. Apparently Apple has made reinstalling & upgrading nearly impossible if you don't have command level knowledge of Linux or a fully functioning computer to upgrade OSX.

I put the DVD in and booted the iMAC up. Installed the OS and now up and running. Doesn’t get any easier than that. Many thanks.
