Works perfectly, my batteries charge quickly. For the price it was an excellent buy, I only wish I had bought the charger and battery combo as I am confident the batteries would be of a similar quality and you can never have too many backup batteries.

Using as a spare on my work bench. Been working for over two years .

This is the second one I bought. The first one dropped off my tool box during a small earthquake in northern California. It stopped charging after that. So I used my son's charger.Now that I moved 1600 miles away from California. I had to buy one. This was a great buy. So far. It has charged 22 times and is hard mounted to a wood bench. It charges very fast and never heats up like my old one did.I'll update if anything changes. So far, a very good charger.

This charger for Ryobi batteries has the ability to charge Lithium, NiCad or NimH which is a nice feature if you happen to have older batteries or are still buying something other than Lithium. However I assumed it would indicate with an LED which chemistry type was detected. As it is you have to trust it. Confirmation would be nice and LEDs are cheap.I also assumed from the picture - that what turned out to be only a decal - was an actual LED panel that would light if there was a problem. Instead it just shows the key for what a combo of the single red/green LEDs mean. (Blinking green LED means this, Red LED means that, etc.)Bottom line: aside from the ability to charge multiple chemistry types, (which is really only handy for people who have older batteries since most people buy Li-On these days), this is a no-frills, completely basic charger with two LED lights and that's it. Which in fairness, is how most chargers are these days, and at least this one can charge different chemistry types if you happen to need that.3 stars for it being an average charger +1 star for multiple chemistry (even though I only need Li-On).

It charged the battery but I must need a new battery because It didn't stay charged.

Bought this to replace one that got lost. No complaints.

Status lights are easy to read, the unit is compact, and priced right

I have an older 14.4V Ryobi drill and the charger stopped working. Wanted to keep the drill and this fits the bill. I can charge both my 14.4V and my various 18V batteries.
