Great for tiny lights only
Was looking for led light bulb holders but it only works for tiny LEDs. Not what I expected

Solidly grips leds(pre wired or free) no fuss
Nice and do actually “HOLD” the 3mm led unlike many others which either don't bother tell you to hot-glue or rely on a plug behind the led which means if you’ve prewired for your application you either have to snip or resolder, hot glue like other lesser or just hope the led doesn't travel back. This one doesn't have any of those caveats as two of the 4 prongs “Securely” grip the led. That in of itself is its entire function but other designs fall short. Definitely buying these for all 3mm mounting.

These holders actually hold the LED better.
I like the way these grab hold of the LED. Much better than the other type.

Grip and hold the LED's I purchased VERY securely.
I was worried of the previous comments describing how ineffective they are in holding LED's. So I took pictures of how they are held in place securely from the bottom lip of the LED and from the top of the lip of the LED. Maybe it's a LED brand compatibility issue. The EDGELEC LED brand looks to be the best answer secure fitting LED that was purchased. The bases are plastic, flexible and appear to be durable enough for most projects.

Poor quality
Wow what junk, plastic so thin that it breaks once you insert the LED

How to install these
I looked at many other ones but decided to go with these since the diodes look like they lock in place. There are few little things you will need to do when installing these. First -- use a 1/4" drill bit...but you will have to wiggle it around to make the opening slight larger than 1/4". Next -- Insert the led into the plastic sleeve and then fish the wire through the hole and push the led and plastic holder in from the front to the back. It will be tight. Here's the trick...Put a 3/16 socket over the diode and use it to evenly push the plastic sleeve in. This prevents the diode from being pushed out. DONE!
