FURminator, Cat Short Hair Large Cat

My cat used to hate brushing but she just sits on my lap and purrs with this brush. It removes so much hair! Unfortunately, I assumed it would stop pulling hair out once the loose hair had been brushed out but it just keeps going and now my cat has a bald strip on her back with almost no undercoat. I can't tell if her skin is also scraped or just irritated but it looks pinker than her other skin. I didn't notice until I looked at her at a different angle. From the front you can't really see it but from behind and from the side it's pretty noticeable. She was purring the entire brushing so it doesn't seem to hurt her but she does keep trying to lick that part of her back. I feel terrible! I wasn't brushing her aggressively and it only for about 5 minutes. I had no idea this could even happen. Perhaps she has a thinner coat?*WARNING* Will keep pulling out undercoat until there isn't any left. It just keeps coming. Overbrushing easily possible on sleeker-coated cats!

It simply does the job. We have a BSH, he has thick fur. He loves the brush

I have 3 of these. Bought more because it worked so good, and have them at different places around the house, where the cats will lay and let me comb them. I'm amazed at how much fur it removes from my 3 cats. I sometimes think I'm going to see bald spots because so much fur is removed, but hasn't happened yet, as I try to brush them every day, and I can honestly say the hairballs and throwing up and dramatically declined since using this product. Would like it more if it was less expensive. It's a lot of money for a tool to remove pet hair, don't you think??

Game changer.We’ve only used for just over 1 week and have released enough fur from her coat to stuff a small pillow.For real.My advice: be ready with a small trash can right next to you. Follow the easy instructions ie. go with the fur and don’t stay in one spot too long.We did it Monday and decided to follow the first time with a bath (much to her protesting) just to help loosen/lift off the dead skin and oils, since I almost felt like I was starting to become allergic to our sweet cat.We then groomed her with the Furminator Wednesday, same amount came out.Then Friday, a little less came out.It’s Monday now and we are going to keep up with 3 x’s per week until the shedding slows down and will hopefully move to once per week rapidly.The great news? She loves it!!! Even better? I’m not seeing the dust/hair bunnies all over the wood floor like we’ve dealt with the past 2 years!!!!Special tip:Don’t forget the tail!!! We do short brushes down the length of her tail and can’t BELIEVE how much hair is trapped in there.Anyway, so thrilled. Hope you love it as much as we do 🐱♥️🙏

Totally worked on removing the dreadlocks on my big male kitties back. It was this or take him to the vet to have him shaved. Saved his dignity and got the job done. Cheaper than a vet visit and our vet actually suggested the Furminator.

I use these at the rabbit rescue I volunteer at. I also use it at home for both cats and rabbits. Love it. Takes care of a lot of fur

Great product! Works much better than any other brush I’ve purchased over the years. Durable and easy to clean. My Vet recommended it and I’m shocked they didn’t recommend it years ago!

Ma minette ne supportant pas vraiment les brossage, je trouve ce peigne très efficace. On attrape tellement plus de poils qu'avec n'importe quel autre peigne ou brosse.Son poil est court et proche de celui des bengal, donc pas évident d'attraper des touffes, mais là, c'est une vraie satisfaction :)

We brush our 2 big (25 lbs and the male is over 3 ft long) kitties regularly but still get huge tumbleweed-like fur balls all over the house. I had excellent results with this grooming tool right off the bat. I let the kitties smell the brush and rub up against it themselves for a few minutes (to "brush themselves" lol) prior to actively brushing them. They loved it. So much so, that when I stopped brushing, I was given a very loud reprimand meow to keep brushing.This bag of fur only took about 5 minutes of brushing to collect from a single cat, despite frequent grooming sessions with a regular brush (including a session yesterday evening).I was astounded by how much hair came off in such a short time. And the glossiness of her coat after only 5 minutes was remarkable.I highly recommend this product.
