Superb Bottle Holder
Pro:*Extremely strong fabric material. It will not scuff or tear with moderate to heavy usage.*Moderately waterproof: I would be comfortable taking this into a rainstorm, but pockets would experience dampness after a few hours (may effect items very sensitive to humidity).*Compatible with Molle system and has plenty of mesh for attaching to other packs in various configurations. My personal choice is a Condor II backpack with one of these holders on either side to dramatically increase storage potential.* Very spacious in the center pocket - enough for either (1) a rather large water bottle, (2) a PC laptop power supply (brick) and attachment cords, (3) some small cans of food (ex. tuna or chicken sized) or (4) similar sized items.*Inner lining of the largest pocket has a small amount of padding for protecting somewhat fragile items.*Outer pocket fits my wallet, cell phone, and a few small items very well but could hold more.*When attached properly with TacTies there seems to be no possibility of the mesh accidentally breaking or fraying through rugged use.Con:* Largest pocket is padded, but it doesn't do an excellent job insulating water bottles. Don't expect glacial water on your hike or walk to college.* Top horizontal zipper is difficult to close, especially when the fabric is still new and very stiff. After several months, it becomes easier but requires two hands.* When loaded down with heavy items the holder will tend to sway when attached to other bags/containers via the Molle strap system.* Difficult to attach to Maxpedition backpacks with the suggested TacTies - small pair of pliers strongly recommended to make this easier.Like many Maxpedition products, it's "Pros" significantly outweigh it's "Cons".Overall, a very nice bottle holder that has served me well.

More than just a bottle holder
Maxpedition quality as usual. There are similar products out there, but having bought many Maxpedition products as I have, nothing less will do or can be trusted. The holder itself is bullet proof. Heavy material, many molle attachment points as well as a Velcro patch across the zippered cover allows this bottle holder to be extremely flexible. The zippers have paracord pulls and most importantly, the whole holder is padded. I'm not sure if the padding is insulation like 'thinsulate', Maxpedition doesn't say, but nevertheless, liquids should stay cooler or hotter longer than single walled holders.I bought the Nalgene "glow in the dark" 32oz. bottle and the stainless steel GI cup on the recommendation of other reviews and both fit perfectly. There's enough room in the cover for a fuel canister or mini alcohol stove. The front pocket doesn't have a lot of room, but a backpacking stove, solid fuel, knife, fork, whatever, could probably fit. For those who have complained about the lack of a shoulder strap, go to the Maxpedition website. There you will find a 1 1/2" shoulder strap and shoulder pad for about $20. The only other addition I would make is attaching a Maxpedition 'cocoon' for other mealtime essentials. So now, you can carry a meal or two in a real nice package. I can validate other observations about the roughness of the cover zipper. I can only surmise that the problem is that it is not a straight pull, you do have to coax it. I have considered lubricating the zipper with silicone lubricating spray. Haven't done it yet. All in all, a real nice package, albeit a little spendy, but well worth it.

Good size
Perfect size as a standalone bag. Wish it came with a shoulder strap or molle ties, so expect to spend another $15 each if you want to use this pouch. Top zipper catches on corners hard and does not break in.Otherwise a very durable and high quality pouch

Excellent pouch for the Jetboil Flash system!
I purchased this bottle holder after reading that others had success using it with their Jetboil systems. I am very pleased to say it is a well built pouch that fits my Jetboil Flash like a glove. The case leaves extra room to store an additional Jetboil fuel canister giving you the ability to carry 2 canisters (one inside the Jetboil canister and one outside), as well as utensils an cleaning materials in the front zippered pouch. The fit will be a bit tight at first, don't hesitate to stretch the case by forcing your Jetboil into it, it's built tough and can handle it, eventually fitting like it was custom made for it.I will upload a customer photo if I can that shows the relative size of this case to a Jetboil Flash and illustrates how much I have packed into my Maxpedition Bottle Holder case.

Worked great for me!
I read other reviews where people were having problems with the zipper. However, I am not experiencing this issue. Keep in mind guys. The zippers are stiff but they’re supposed to be! They are made thicker, durable, and work great. I would buy the item again if I needed one.

Bought 2014 and still great
Bought this 2014, carried it to work 5 days a week and on my off time. It still looks brand new. Went through over many water bottles. Since I retired it is attached to my gulf cart. Now being curious. wanted to see if it is being sold. by golly there it was..I need another holder for time away from gulf. This will last but now i can’t afford it. the price has jumped. If you can afford it its well worth the money.

Nice addition!
Great bottle bag with extra storage. I use it on my Lunada and Vulture II to carry different bottles depending on what I’m doing. It hold a life straw g perfectly and it has a little insulation so it helps keep drinks cooler for a while. Extra molle webbing to add things on to it and nice little pouch to throw some small snacks in. Quality seems to be heavy duty as with all my Maxpedition products.
