Beyond Cops Beyond God

I don't know what these bastards are talking about, waking the cadaver has some gnarly slams and has very groove oriented riffs. Yes, it's not super complex but that's not quite the point. In my opinion this is their best album, the vocals are not completely murky growls and I can actually understand what he's saying most of the time. If you're a fan of aborted, devourment, pencil lead syringe, circles of dead children, suffocation, or dying fetus you will probably enjoy this album.

This band is so heavy! This is the better of their albums, the vocals are probably the best part to me! I recommend this album!

Looking for some catchy death metal to bang your head to? Look no further. Sure, there are bands who are more technical, with ultra long epic guitar solo's and "atmosphere" which are great, but often forgettable. For me, I enjoy bands who bring the energy to make me want to jump into the pit, something to lift to, bust out that extra rep. Lyrics? I could care less, they are NOT meant to be taken seriously and if they offend you you're listening to the wrong genre. All in all its really surprising what "metalheads" bash this band, don't like em? move on.. Metal bands make music for their fans and we the fans, approve.

This is definetely a great album if you are looking for the heavy stuff! Wow!Every song delivers crushing and relentless brutal death metal at its finest. Check this out if you like brutal death straight to the point and really catchy, I can't get the songs like "reign supreme" "sadistic tortures" and "beyond god" outta my head!

This band is a complete joke, one of the worst death metal bands I've ever heard. How they've gotten so popular is beyond me, nothing in this album sounds like actual effort was put into it, generic at best. I swear they must have been high when they were putting this garbage together.

Waking the Cadaver war eine Band, die ich immer belächelt habe, da ich nur das Lied "Chased through the Woods by a Rapist" kannte und das ziemlich grottenschlecht fand ( inzwischen gehört es zu meinen Lieblingsliedern xD). Eigentlich hab ich dann eine Zeit lang nichts mehr von ihnen gehört aber irgendwann hab ich durch Zufall das Lied "Beyond God" gehört und was soll ich sagen... Es war grandios! Ab da wusste ich, dass ich dieses Album brauchte und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Der riesen Unterschied zwischen diesem Album und den Vorgänger ist ziemlich krass. Wo früher noch ziemliches Chaos herrschte gibt es nun ansatzweise Strukturen und es wurde deutlich mehr Wert aufs Songwriting gelegt. "Beyond Cops" leitet das Album ziemlich heftig ein und macht auch klar was man erwarten kann. Die Mischung aus Slamming Death Metal, Deathcore und unglaublich viel Groove ( Die Band nennt ihren Stil ja nicht umsonst Slamming Gore Groove^^). Es ist einfach ziemlich heftig was hier gespielt wird und das ganze Album ist einfach ein Gemetzel. Die Produktion ist wirklich nicht so gut aber das gehört zu dieser Band irgendwie dazu. Es macht sie einfach nich ehrlicher weil man hier merkt, dass man nicht viel Wert auf Bearbeitung gelegt hat, sondern auf Eigenständigkeit. Die Vocals von Don Campan sind einfach herrlich böse und ehrlich aber mir wird für WTC-Standard zu wenig gesquealt, denn Don hat einen der besten Squeals auf dieser Welt (meine Meinung). Mein einziger Kritikpunkt sind die Lyrics...aber irgendwie passen sie auch wieder ^^ Sie sind nicht sehr ausgefeilt oder deep sondern einfach nur brutal aber durch die Reime klingen sie manchmal ziemlich lustig " Face down in the john is where you belong" :DAlso jeder der auf Slamming Death Metal und Deathcore steht sollte sich dieses Album kaufen denn diese Musik ist einfach herrlich zum abreagieren und wird nie langweilig^^5 Sterne für eine Band, die einfach auf die Fresse gibt xD

Grundweg solides Album der US-Deathcore-Formation. Deutliche technische Weiterentwicklung zu den Vorgängerwerken. Jedoch kann meiner Meinung nach die Produktion nicht ganz mithalten mit den z.Z. angesagten Werken namenhafter Todeskern-Kapellen. Aber das tut der Sache keinen Abbruch, denn hier wird mit sichtlicher Hingabe ein ordentliches Brett abgeliefert. Reinhören lohnt sich.
