Dometic CD-50 (DC only) Drawer Refrigerator 47-Liter Capacity and Removable Freezer

First one lasted 2 months and compressor stopped working . Dometic replaced unit with no questions asked. The replacement has 5 years of heavy use in a camper van that is driven down every bumpy dusty road in the country. So it’s been banged around, covered in dust and dog hair, and has to deal with low voltage batteries and has been flawless. This fridge btw will work down to 10.5 volts. The freezer keeps ice cream and ice for fresh squeezed margaritas. The limes for the margaritas don’t freeze in the fridge and the soy milk never spoils. It is ran with a 12 awg directly to the leisure battery with a 5 amp inline fuse. I simply pull the fuse when I’m done traveling to shut off. It has a nice flip latch to keep the door slightly open for ventilation when not in use. I love the fact that it is a pull out drawer so I don’t have to get on my hands and knees and look for the cold beers in the back. Great fridge, Thanks Dometic!

Had it for 4.5 years now. Sidenote , if you're going to keep something frozen you have to turn the dial right up. Use it a lot as I live in my van part time . Reviewer Fredrick - either your drip tray is missing or you didn’t hook up a drain tube. Also this fridge does need ventilation if it’s in a enclosed counter unit. I have 2-6 inch oval holes in either side of cupboard which is enough for airflow

I bought this for my Kenworth T680. So far, I’m loving the pull out part ( drawer type ) much better than the swing type door. But most of all, I’m loving how big the freezer part is.

The refrigerator cools great. The door and the way it is fastened is junk. The trim piece that operates the handle is just glued to the door, so now it is separating from it each time you open the door. I've only had it operational 3 months. Now I need to spend a whole day going to dealer for warranty, but there is no real fix other than adding more glue, which seems dumb.

Amazing fridge used in a sprinter van conversion. Better price than most fridges out there. Very efficient and has a nice siding drawer.

Feels cheap, gets extremely warm (on the outside) and leaks water everywhere. Not stoked on this.

Great little replacement , I wanted something smaller than my old none efficient unit and this works great on my battery and solar only camper van .

Installed easily and runs great!
