Easy installation, works perfect for bike carrier and winch mount. 2021 Ram 2500

I bought this for a winch mount for 2019 Ram. It supports 9000 lbs straight pull on a 10,000 lb truck. You can look at it and see it's leverage problem. It really sits too low and needed an extension by the time it sticks out from under the bumper because the winch would bottom out in every ditch. I MacGyvered the tube insert to go up first and then out through the grill. A little welding and a little plastic cutting and it sits flush with the grill and puts the winch just right. But...if you have the cash, just buy a big ugly winch bumper for your new truck!

I like this hitch so far... But I do NOT understand why trailer gear makers are all stuck in the 80s with their instructions. I installed this on a 2021 RAM 2500 but the instruction sheets look like they were made 40 years ago!

Is a nice hitch. A bit difficult to install. Had to cut the trim more then directions and bolts are a pain. Make sure you have a good tools and wrenches. Impact driver helps too especially on the 159ft lbs torque on the upper bolt. Lots of tight knuckle busting areas.

To install the pin in hitch you need to crawl under the truck,22 ram 2500. Poor design two more inches of tubing an move the pin in front of splash guard.

Perfect fit for my 2019 Ram 2500 diesel. It was a bit heavy for me to handle so I had it professionally installed for $100. Well worth it.

Installed on my 2022 Ram 2500 with 6.7 diesel. As others mentioned, use a floor jack or have some help lifting into place. I did mine solo just using a floor jack. The notch in the airdam needed to be much larger than the instructions indicated. Mine ended up at 2-1/2" tall by 4-1/8" wide to clear the upper plate on the receiver. This wider cutout also made for easier installation of the hitch pin. Install took a couple hours solo. Getting those carriage bolts in place is tricky. Perhaps you should remove the airdam to have better access. I was able to contort my hand and wrist to get them installed. I used some masking tape to hold the bolt to the rectangular plate they go thru. This helped tremendously. There is not enough room to use impact gun so expect to use handtools and muscle when loosening and tightening everything. A electric or air ratchet is handy as well.

Very sturdy, much heavier than I expected well made and easy install what more can I say.
