WARNING!!
WARNING...this product is defective. Please do not purchase. I have been through three of them, yes three! They all break within a very short period of time. There is a defect in the air valve. Purchase from another company. I'm a real person and I'm hoping others will listen and avoid being duped.

Neck pump works great!
It seems to be very well made and a good buy for the money. So far, it has worked flawlessly and as described. The air release valve is made of metal which makes it seem of good quality. My sleep improved the first night I used it in the evening before retiring to bed. I have used it while watching TV in the evening and it seems that I was able to sleep decently the whole night.

Money well spent!
Cervical Neck Traction Pump - My Chiropractor uses a version of this device and recommended I purchase one for daily use.His was $80, which even he said was expensive, but did recommend I shop the internet.I found the Better Life Basics version for well under half the cost.YES, I am very satisfied with the products quality, easy of use, and above all, NECK PAIN RELIEF!

Comfortable and easy to use.
This is easily the best cervical traction appliance ever! This is (for me) far easier to use than the water bag & rope contraption. It's relatively comfortable to wear and permits me to move around. Can't look down or swivel my head while wearing it, but that's to be expected. I can'tell recommend this enough for relief from pinched nerves caused by degenerative discs.

Using Many Words to Say "There Are No Words"
as with most who spend hours every day looking at a computer screen, I have neck issues. but I also have a scoliotic "z curve" bend from the top of my spine/base of my neck to my skull. that has proven "annoying" and problematic since childhood. it worsened after a bad car wreck, and I've tried almost every device out there, looking for relief. the hard plastic neck braces, the soft-foam neck braces, the things that hang off the top of a door (then you attach a piece to your head and use a pulley to stretch out your neck). all were so uncomfortable that any "relief" became torture after a few minutes.a couple of weeks ago I received an offer to try this traction device, at a discount, in exchange for an honest review. my new shiatsu massager (also from amazon) was already giving me great relief, nightly, but chronic neck pain remained a fact of life, even if lessened. this looked interesting, and I'd never had anything like it before (had never even seen an inflatable neck brace). I decided to buy it because of the discount and with the knowledge that amazon would take it back, no questions asked, if I didn't like it.I tried it as soon as it arrived. they recommend using a mirror when you first put it on, to make sure it's placed correctly. it has two velcro closures, which I put loosely into place, and then I pumped. it takes a lot of pumping to get it working, and I learned quickly to keep my hand also on the little blue plastic "lock" so I wouldn't lose air if I stopped pumping for a sec. it was like a jack for my head, and the higher the lift, the greater the relief.when it felt as though my head could be raised no higher and my neck stretched no further, my face was also being totally scrunched. it wasn't painful or even uncomfortable, just funny. made me look like some kind of 'toon, but the stretch and support were an immediate godsend. I waited a few minutes then pumped some more; and the bar was raised for both my neck and my cheeks.I wore it the first time for about half an hour. didn't want to take it off, but it was hard to get anything done because my head and neck were immobilized. the moment I took it off, I missed it. completed my chores and tried it again. this time I fastened the velcro more tightly, so the front ends met before I started pumping. the lift and stretch were even better once it was pushing my chin more firmly.I've been using it every day and night, as often as possible. it's so much better than every other device I've used that there's no comparison. this is COMFORTABLE and FEELS FANTASTIC while it's on, whereas the others offer little respite from pain/tension and much aggravation. once removed, the only "relief" is that they're off, but after using this cervical neck pump I actually feel taller and "light headed" for a couple of hours.I definitely recommend almost completely removing the air after each use. though it's tempting to leave it mostly filled so not as much pumping is required, it doesn't work as well, because you won't be able to get it completely under your head for maximum lift. but that will probably be obvious the second time it's used if not deflated, first. yes, the pumping takes a couple of minutes, every time, but it's totally worth it.the "brace" has the velvety coating typical of many inflatables, and it feels nice, never scratchy. but the lift is where it's at. just incredible. wish they'd had these available decades ago! I'm going to donate all of my other neck devices to a local charity, but I feel kind of bad about that, since I know anyone getting one of those devices would be SO much better off with this one.I don't have a single negative thing to say about my experience with this neck traction pump, and am praying it will last for years (if it soon pops or fails otherwise, I'll be back with an update and to remove stars). though I've said a lot in this review, words will never do this item justice. because there are no words to describe going from years of chronic pain to the complete relief of said pain, even if the relief is temporary. this device means that relief is only moments away, again and again, as needed. gobsmacked. inflatable neck brace received at a discount in exchange for an honest review.
