Fits my mini pretty well and keeps me from getting bitten
I have a mini stud that is about 10 months old. He is scheduled to be castrated in another month. In the meantime, he is a horrible biter. I got this muzzle to keep him from biting me while I work with him. It's just a little big, but I wouldn't be afraid to leave it on him out in the pasture.

Runs small
I bought a pony size for my 12 hand pony who wears pony in everything else. I was surprised at how much I had to adjust it to get it to fit since her head is not that big. It did just fit her everywhere except for the muzzle part itself was a bit small. I thought I would give it a try but after about a week I noticed it was rubbing on the front of her nose. I believe the muzzle part is just too small for her. So, if you are looking to put this on a pony I would definitely go up a size. I wanted something inexpensive and this did the trick but now I'm going to have to purchase a cob and can't return because it has been used.

Not strong enough for a aggressive pony.
Economy Nylon Halter Grazing Muzzle Pony. We bought this for our welsh cob/gypsy vanner yearling filly. I love the fact that we were able to fit it to her. Pros: The head stall side pieces and throat latch all adjust. It goes smaller than her head and it would have lasted through her growth to 2 year old and possibly 3. The basket is just the right size for a welsh cob muzzle. Cons: The thread that connects the head stall to the basket is cotton thread. Our filly was very aggressive on getting the basket off and tore out all the stitching on one side and loosened the stitching on the other side. I see the value of this setup and have the skills to fix the cons with waxed leather thread and a stitching awl. I will recommend the muzzle because it has all of the adjustable areas but warn that it won't last if you have a determined animal that wants it off. We purchased a different style muzzle for our old mare and she wore it till we had to put her down from complications of cushings disease. That one was replaced, because she wore a bigger hole in the bottom of the muzzle. Problem with that muzzle was no way to adjust it so we had to tie it to her halter to keep it on her.

Just what we needed
So glad this arrived! Pony was dirt lotted until it did...now he can go out with his 'horse' to 'graze'...he's happy, I'm happy and his 'horse' is really happy to have his little buddy back with him! Thank you!

Good choice, but didn't last
I have this in "pony" for my mini Mediterranean donkeys. It's a tidy fit, none too big in the basket, and they only managed to work it off the first day before I adjusted the straps better. But my girls are hard on their grazing muzzles, rooting them against the ground looking for something to eat, and the rubber wore through within a month.

Durable grazing muzzle
This grazing muzzle works on our mini donkey who is super hard on grazing muzzles. He can wear through just about anything in 1 to 3 months. This brand is the 2nd longest lasting of the brands we've tried, and it fits him well and is our backup muzzle. Our donkey wears a grazing muzzle a great deal of the time, and we've had no rub marks or problems.

Saved my pony's life!!
Literally has saved my pony's life. She developed laminitis on only grass/hay and thankfully was able to recover. This muzzle prevented overeating and allowed her to lose weight preventing another attack. It allows her to be turned out with the other horses and not be isolated. We love it so much that when she tore it apart on a tree one day (even though it is well constructed), I express shipped another. Now I keep an extra on hand. Worth every penny!

Pony muzzle
My pony has a metabolic syndrome so this helps him not to eat the rich grass in the pasture but allows him to be a buddy to my other horse. It broke after 4 days of use but the company sent me a new one. I was surprised that they stood by their product without any qualms.
