It is a good way of making simple moulds. The mixture sets overnight at room temperature and the moulds don't need to be especially thick-walled. The moulds set almost transparent. It might be helpful to add some colouring material to one of the components so that you can see when the mixture is uniformly mixed but I haven't tried that yet. I might experiment with something like a drop of cake icing colouring.

Love this product! Easy to use 1:1 ratio, cures with 24hrs with great results. Would highly recommend.

My first try at this and I've found this silicone so good. It mixes very easily and I have been delighted to find that it shifts out all of the bubbles you get when mixing, all well before curing. The results for me then have been excellent moulds. I only had one mishap where it wouldn't cure immediately around a piece, but I theorised that was due to chemical corruption from the piece I was moulding. I gave it a good scrub and re-moulded and that second try cured just as perfectly as all the others I've done.

I purchase this regularly for dice-making purposes, and after trying a few brands this is probably my favourite. I'd still recommend you see for yourself what you like, but for a one-off purchase, I would go for this stuff. If you're putting it in a hot water bath ahead of time, you're in luck cause these bottles won't deform in the heat, unlike other brands, and it's 1:1 by volume, which I much prefer. It's a little messy at times, but I've got consistent results with it now and it's easily my go-to resin brand. Best of luck with it!

Given it was my first time using a clear 2 part silicone mix I didn't have the highest Hope's, but this was such a nice surprise. Cured in a day, not sticky, absolutely no bubbles when the original item being used inside is smooth. Got a couple of bubbles in a test mould I made of some buttons but only on a very textured, unvarnished wooden button so fair enough! Not water clear obviously but as clear as/clearer than the store bought moulds I have and no mould release was needed, everything came out easy. Despite using digital scales and being as meticulous and careful as I can to get the weights of each part even I still somehow ended up with more left in one bottle than the other and everything still cured fine so I can say there must be at least a little wiggle room for user error there.

This review is for 20.46oz kit. I've used this product several times now. I've only had an issue with it twice due to different reasons. Reason number one was my scales not working properly, so I started using scale weights to double check my product weight. Resin two was residue on my project, which interfered with the silicone and created an inhibition layer, so I always wash all my pieces while wearing gloves before placing in the housing. My last project took between 61-63 of each silicone part, for each project. With these measurements I ended up having 4 moulds of the same project, using one kit. You can colour the silicone rubber using mica powders, which is specified in the kit instructions. The silicone rubber itself is that milky clear colour when mixing. I'm not sure how transparent it is when set without colourant, as I've always added some sort of mica into it. To make moulds I use a vinyl tape to adhere my pieces, which was a tip I got from someone else. I also use Let's Resin mould housing, which is another great product from these guys for mould making. Over all I highly recommend these silicone rubber kits and their other mould making products.

Fantastic silicone for mold making. First time using and absolutely no problems at all.

This is incredible! Super easy to use, easy to mix, but make sure you mix it for about 3-5 minutes depending on how much you need and keep tapping the bottom to draw up air bubbles. If there was a way to approximate the amount of product (maybe like a visual example of sizes to volume) it’d be the best product out there. But I’m making molds of items left and right so I’ll definitely be purchasing this over and over. Don’t sleep on it!

La verdad es que está silicona me ha salvado. No encontraba ninguna compatible con mis modelos 3D de resina. Pero está funcionando perfectamente. Por poner una pega, se me hace pequeño el bote y se me agota enseguida. Pero vale la pena por su calidad.
