Quiet and great quality trainer. Easy to set up and transport
Love this trainer - Super easy set up and very sturdy. I am using at my 70.3 training group and although it is a tad heavy it is portable. It is not so heavy that I can't carry both my bike and my trainer at the same time. I did a ton of research on trainers prior to purchasing and it was between this and the Kinetics and although I do not have any experience with the Kinetic trainer I am thrilled with the Taxc and there are two others in our group with a Taxc and we are all extremely satisified with the ease of setup. This is also a very quite trainer. I wouldn't think there would be too much difference in noise reduction with any other brand.

Absolutely Love This Trainer!!!
SOLID. WELL BUILT TRAINER!!! Easy setup. Trainer's flywheel provides a smooth rolling resistance much like being on the road. Holds bike firmly without ANY wobble whatsoever. EXCELLENT PURCHASE! You will not be disappointed.

Very well priced considering the overall features and performance
I use a combination of Tacx Neo and Galaxia products for home, but I wanted something I could cart with me when I travel for work. My Galaxia rollers are somewhat somewhat portable, but not ideal and I wasn't about to cart around my Neo so this seemed like a reasonable compromise. As you can tell, I'm a huge fan of Tacx products and feel their quality to price is second to none. I'm happy to say the Blue Matic is consistent with my impression of the brand.Pros:- There's a nice wide range of resistance available due to the control- Resistance is about as smooth as you're going to get in a mag trainer- This is the quietest mag trainer I've ever used, below 450 watts of effort. Above that, and it does get a bit loud, but that's just the reality of mag trainers, and you need to accept that if you're going to buy this. It's not so loud that you can't watch TV, but you'll need to adjust the volume on hard efforts. With all that said, it's very quiet for a mag trainer, I assure you.- Mounting system is about as fast and easy to set as you can possibly get.Cons:- Other reviews noted the cord is a bit short and it is. However, if you ride anything 58cm and below, it'll be fine. Above that, and it's going to be a tight fit. If you ride anything above a 63cm, I recommend you DO NOT buy this if you're doing so partially due to the adjust cord.- Aesthetically speaking, it's a budget look, but that's obviously a very minor complaint. One more important thing to note before I sum this review up:Please, please, please contact the seller before you buy this to make sure you know what you are getting with it. This trainer comes in various packages and you may get anything from the trainer, skewer, front wheel base, and a wireless cadence and speed sensor, all the way down to just the trainer and skewer. This is especially the case if you are buying one listed as used. So please do check with the seller to make sure you know what you're getting because the listing just isn't clear at all.One other quick note for people who ride track bikes, fixed gears, single speeds or city bike:Yes, you can use this trainer without using the skewer, BUT you need to buy the Tacx adapter bolts. They are on Amazon for $15.Summing it all up, at retail, this trainer is worth it if it's the package including trainer, skewer, cadence and speed sensor, and front wheel base. At anything under $200, it's a steal with everything but the sensor, but especially a steal with it. If you're just getting the trainer with only skewer, it's worth $175 new and $150 used. Anything less than those prices and configurations is worth it period. One final time: Message the seller and make sure you know the package you're getting!!!! As long as you do that and hit those price points, I absolutely recommend this as a travel trainer or even your full time trainer.Cheers!

Control Cord too short
The control cord is a bit short. It does not lie flat under the bike and will sometimes catch on the pedals. As a result I just lay it on the floor where it becomes useless during a ride. Also, the mounting bracket is too large to fit my mountain bike handle bars properly; another reason I lay it on the floor. The Tacx Blue Twist Trainer would have better fit to my needs. I expected to use the remote resistance settings often but find that simply shifting through the gears gives me enough variation in training intensity for my simple exercise rides. I needed to replace the rear mountain bike tire with a slick to reduce the noise. It was so loud before the change I thought my apartment neighbors might complain. With the slick it's easy to exercise and watch TV without the volume being turned really high.

Great product, solid workouts.
I have used the trainer roughly 10 times since receiving it. Setup was good however the instructions were incorrect when it referring to the two different positions for setup based on wheel size (they were reversed). Apart from that solid construction, simple to assemble, no issues with changing resistance levels, engaging the resistance lever is easy, disengaging seems a little flimsy as it is tightly locked in but no issues (will be determined over time). Great workouts since, overall great purchase. If you have never used a trainer before (can save money from fluid and go magnetic), nothing but good sessions.
