I bought a couple safes on amazon and they all have failed badly. Way to complicated to put together. Wasting way to much time doing so. Really poor quality. Falling apart in just a week. Very thin walls and very bad advertising where they label it as a safe when its not. False advertising. Its not secure and to easy to break the safe. Sentry Safe stands out. The safe is ready out of the box. You dont waste time putting it together. You dont have to feel like you are a construction worker thats working on a complicated project. Its heavy and the walls are thick. You have the option to drill to the wall if you want too. Highly recommend checking them out. You seriously can't go cheap on a safe. Good for firearms ammo, and sensitive info. It has many good options for useage.

****UPDATE***. ***UPDATE*** HERE IS WHAT YOU ALL HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR...ME TOO. Ok...today was the first day we could get into the home. WE FOUND THE SAFE. As you can see in the picture, the safe is completely burned on the outside. Then safe was also a little warped from the high temperature. Keep in mind that this safe has been sitting inside this house, under fire debris for over 2 months. We had to cut into the safe, as the front of the safe was completely melted. We opened up the safe and to our AMAZEMENT, all of the contents were not terribly damaged from the fire. This fire burned VERY HOT. I posted a picture of the fire-proof envelope we used to put a few hundred dollars into it and the money was still there!!! EVERYTHING DID NOT BURN. Now, there is one little issue...the safe took on water after the fire warped the box and water was able to get into the inside of the safe. It is ok...I WOULD BUY THIS SAFE AGAIN (when I can afford another one). People, do not hesitate in purchasing this safe, I am living proof that this safe can fall 15 feet and survive...can withstand a darn hot fire and survive...can somewhat withstand gallons and gallons of water and survive. BUY IT...I am your example. Rhonda. This review will be updated as soon as we can get into our home. I bought this safe a few years ago and really liked it. I had a little cash and used a fireproof envelope to protect the cash and then put it in the safe. The safe was easy to lock and unlock. Really, I would buy it again...but holding onto that thought until we can locate it. On June 13, 2023, our home burned and it is a total loss. The entire living area fell into the basement, so I am hoping the safe made it ok. I am not sure how hot the fire got, but it destroyed everything in its path. I did not see a review like this one, that's why I am writing this review...to let you know the unthinkable happened to me and I will let you know the outcome. I will update this review ASAP.

I have a Sentry for years. This is a replacement for and older one. It has a light inside the door that lights up momentarily when the door is opened. Great feature. Real easy to use and easy to set new password. Would recommend one for anybody. Has an excellent warranty. Caution: It is very heavy.

Very nice safe except it arrived with a dent/gap at the top, corner seam. I was traveling and missed the return window plus it’s too heavy to haul down stairs to return it. Not crazy about the plastic handle but works fine. FYI—says it’s mountable, but no pre-drilled holes and makes no sense to advertise it as such as holes/ drilling would invalidate the water intrusion feature/guarantee/warranty anyway.

The screws that come with the safe are steel lag screws (wood thread).they have no ability to grip bare concrete on their own. They are engineered exclusively to expand into plastic wall plugs or bite into wooden studs. Get 4” long 3/8” Tapcon blue screws for concrete bolt down.

Met all expectations. Very pleased with the Fireproof Safe.

Do not recommend!!! I have owned this safe for a little over a year. From 3 months in it has been nothing but issues. First, you must put the code in very slowly for it to work, that's fine we learned that after a few tries. Then even when you put the code in and the light turns green the handle would still not open. Normally it takes approximately 5 tries to get the handle to work. Additionally, if you ever take the key out of the small storage box inside, the key does not fit back in no matter how you turn it. I'm glad I found that out before putting any important documents in and them being lost forever such as passports, birth certificates, etc. It has just gotten progressively worse and now we are afraid to use it as so many times it won't open. It has become just a very heavy paperweight. I would highly suggest not purchasing this product unless you don't really want to ever get to the items inside.

I’m very happy with this safe. There is a small tray and a larger one that fits letter sized hanging folders. With both trays in, there is a small space on the bottom of the safe to store flat items (I have a couple of coin folders in a storage bag). There are also two small plastic pockets on the door. I like that the light on the door illuminates what is inside of the safe and this light duration is programmable for up to 60 seconds. I did not bolt the safe as that compromises the water resistance but the safe is pretty heavy (more on this later). I did buy a dehumidifier for it as the manual suggested opening the safe once every two weeks to prevent moisture accumulation. I took advantage of Amazon’s service for delivering and unpacking. They unpacked it and placed it in the room that I wanted. This saved me the trouble of moving the safe and unboxing it as it is heavy. I was able to choose a 10 hour delivery window vs a 12 hour window. Note there wasn’t an option for a smaller window nor was I given a heads up for the delivery itself (e.g. a call right before the delivery). This wasn’t a problem for me but wanted to set expectations. I just tracked the progress through the Amazon app.

Item took a month to arrive but I knew that when I ordered it. Item came well packaged and as a result i found no flaws or defects as some have reported. Safe ws easy to configure to configure to my own codes, ?This was a replacemnt to a smaller sentry safe. Very pleased with nthis purchase.
