Piscifun Spinning Reel Lightweight Smooth Fishing Reel 10+1BB Carbon Fiber Drag Powerful Spin Reels

Seems like a nicely made reel and has a good feel to it. I have yet to use it in action but after buying dozens of reels over the years it gets easier to spot one well made. My only possible issue so far is that there is very little clearance between the spinning bail and my fingers when I am reeling. I have average sized hands and it dosn't hit my fingers but comes very close. Guess this is due to using the larger rotor on this models housing. Good price and solid build I am looking forward to using it in the spring. M

the 4000 version was on sale for $36. If it worked i'd be content, but it actually seems to work very well and functioning like something much more expensive. It's a smooth running reel with nice feel to it. the drag seems smooth but I have not had it long enough to really push it or the claimed drag ratings. I have not taken it apart to see how much grease was used, but I expect it's not too bad from what I can see taking off the handle. This is the cheap style handle with a screw on the opposite side to hold it and and allow changing sides. Its not the nice screw in style like the Honor series reels. That's not really an issue, but for salt water it's another non-sealed hole into the gearbox.I needed a reel for surf fishing. There is no free lunch out there when it comes to salt water gear. Its $120 for anything beginning to resemble sealed, but this one should be a great value with the help of simple maintenance. Will update this is anything happens...I'm not expecting any weak links

The reel arrived well packaged, and on time. This reel was purchased to on a 2pc rod that I carry in the truck and use to fish the local ponds. I was pleasantly surprised with it's performance. The reel has a smooth drag and, because of it's weight, makes it easy to fish for several hours with our too much fatigue to my hand/arms. I've only had the reel for a couple of weeks so time will tell how this reel will hold up. Right now, I have high hopes.

I am a novice fisherman and really enjoy my time in the water whenever I have the opportunity. Saltwater Fishing is my choice as you get a variety of fish and even the small ones give out a good fight. 3 days ago I went fishing in one of the Piers in the Texas Coast. It was there that I was able to test how good this Reel is. I have the Venom-4000 and paired it with a 9ft Offshore Power Stick. I was hoping to catch me a small shark so I threw out a small slice of Ladyfish with a 3/0 plain shank hook on a 30lb braid. Soon enough my reel was screaming while my Rod was bent to almost like the letter C. I fought for almost 10 minutes thinking that it was a shark on the other end. Another angler came to me and told me I have a Jack Crevalle and I should try moving to the "T" part of the Pier to better control it from going under the pilings. That fish was so strong but with my reel's drag on locked position I managed to control it enough as it attempted twice to do so. On its third attempt though it finally won the battle and snapped my line. It was indeed an unforgettable experience and this reel helped provide me such. Both my Reel and Rod fared well and I think if I had a higher test line I would have been successful.The Venom by Piscifun is a well constructed reel. it's aesthetically well made and the construction and material feels more expensive that its price. I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to my friends and definitely but another one in the future.

Have not had a chance to use the reel yet, but here are my 1st impressions.Fit and finish are excellent, with no discernible machining marks or blemishes.There is no slop or backlash felt in the gearing and the action both forward and reverse is smooth.This series of reels are packed with bearings usually found in reels priced much higher.I have found only 2 minor flaws so far, thus the 4 star rating...The bail spring is incredablt tight, resulting in having to force the bail open and closed. Perhaps this will loosen up over time, but if so, will the spring become too weak?Also, the bail itself looks to be twice as thick as normal or as it should be. As I usually close my bails by hand, it is quite noticeable to me. However, I have been fishing for over 58 years, so I may be jaded.Other than these 2 things, the reel is looks to be a fine ultralight reel.I purchased this reel after watching a review on one of my local guy's YouTube show PR Fishing.After the reel came in and I had given it my once over, I ordered the 2000 model. It has all of the same qualities/flaws as the UL reelA good bang for the buck.

Poor quality had to refit carbon wrap on the spool

Have no complaints at all, usually head to Diawa or Shimano but to be honest this real has taken on a go to status.The retrieve rate may be slightly slower that some others but I have found this to be ideal with softy plastics and indeed it has lifted may game considerably in this area.The weight is good and to date the build and durability are fine and cosmetically it is a nice to look at.My only other comment would be in relation to the drag, and although this works well, there could be some improvement in the ability to fine tune the adjustment. Does not worry me at all but if you are one of those people who like to tinker with fine tuning the drag settings you may find this a bit disappointing.In summary great reel, at stunning price,

Pretty smooth but the bail is sometimes hard to open/sticker. Still great value for the price.
