I read the reviews before buying and someone mentioned that they spent “a while” untangling the elastic. As someone who considers myself to be an expert untangler, I dismissed this information and put it down to amateur untangling skills. I’ve just spent about an hour, swearing and on the verge of tears, attempting to untangle the elastic. So you have been warned. On the plus side, this is great quality and perfect for making masks - I have tried many types of elastic and this is my favourite, soft, comfortable and a true white colour.

I have been making masks to give to friends and family who can't afford to buy them. I had to buy more elastic and found this one. It looked soft, and thankfully it is. Unlike others on the market all sides of this are soft and comfortable. It has a nice stretch to it too! I liked it so much I have ordered more already!

Really pleased with the purchase. The package arrived on time and the quality is consistent for the whole length that I bought. I use them for my handmade masks and they are soft, and not too thin or too thick. Much better than a standard elastic. It is perfect for me making masks. Just ordered more again and pleased to see the price come down since too! Bargain!

I bought this for making masks and was pleasantly surprised at how soft and stretchy it is. It arrived neatly coiled and secured and inside a bag to keep it from tangling up which I was thankful for. Just the right width for sitting behind your ears comfortably. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this in order to alter some existing face masks and convert the strap from around the ear to around the head. The elastic is the perfect type for face masks; it is very soft and stretchy, not stiff and scratchy like the standard type of elastic. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Used this to make face masks. It has a stronger hold than the earloops on ordinary surgical masks, so can hold your mask more securely, preventing leaks. To replicate the tight fit of a respirator, you'd probably want to double it up or use a stronger elastic.It's comfortable and doesn't fray.

This elastic is perfect for making face masks as it is feels soft to the touch, very strong and has great stretch properties. It is not rough like the 'regular' elastic and although has a good stretch, it is does not have a heavy return feel to it so is great if you are wearing the mask for any length of time. I am very happy with this elastic and will be continuing to buy it in the future.
