This is exactly what I had hoped it would be for the price paid. Please note that my 5 star review is based on it being an extremely affordable soundbar. It's not high end - but it wasn't supposed to be. I recently upgraded to a 45" ultra-wide display for my office. I kept my older monitor and plugged in an Android TV box so I could watch the news while working. But like most monitors, it has no speaker. Enter the Majestic sound bar. For around $40, it plays sound over optical, headphone audio jack, USB, or bluetooth. It's just 15", which makes it a good fit on a smaller desk (or kid's room). I had read reviews of several similarly priced units and found the Majestic to be a better fit, for several reasons: 1) Many of the budget soundbars in this category have built in USB and analog audio cables. Which means if something happens to the cable, it's not easily replaced. 2) Many of the others had all ports on the sides (meaning you're more likely to see cable clutter on your desk or dresser). This one has power, USB, and optical audio ports in the back. Unfortunately, the headphone jack is on the right, but it conveniently comes with a right-angle cable which helps. 3) This works fine with my Onn 4K Streaming Pro's remote, so I can turn it on/off, mute, and control volume via remote control. Several other competitors don't seem to work well (or at all) with Universal Remotes, and some flat out say it can't be controlled this way in the product description. 4) Three year warranty offered, along with lifetime technical support. I can't comment on how good the support is, not having needed it, but at face value, that sounds great. Negatives? 1) This is not a very sonically impressive soundbar. Just fine for watching the news, or TV shows, but I'd find a different device to play high fidelity music. 2) No HDMI support, but again, that's hardly a negative at this price point. For my use case, it's irrelevant, but it is a notable item if that's important to you. 3) The remote has three buttons to tune the sound - flat, rock, and jazz. If they actually do anything to the sound, I sure can't tell.

This sound bar is exactly what I was looking for. I have it hooked up to a computer monitor that doesn't have built in speakers. I use this monitor mostly with a Roku stick to have a tv in my office. I love that the speaker has different ways to connect it. For my main use I have to have it connected by cord to the AUX port but I can also connect it to my computer via bluetooth or other devices via USB. It's also easy to move around so if I want to use it with another device in a different room, it's simple to do. It's attractive in that it's understated and blends in well. The remote works well if it has a clear line of sight but I often have things in front of it and sometimes have to hold the remote at different angles to get it to respond. I like that it stays on a long time before automatically shutting off. The last speaker I had would shut off after about 10 minutes so if I paused a show for a few minutes I'd have to boot it back up and reset the volume and it was a hassle. I do wish this one would keep the same volume level when it turns on again but it's only a small inconvenience. The sound quality is fine, but not great. I probably wouldn't use it as a main way to listen to music as a focal point but for having background noise (which is mostly what my tv is for) it's perfectly fine.

Generally I am satisfied with this soundbar, my first ever. I am not by any stretch of the imagination an audiophile, so my observations may be faulty. The soundbar came well-packaged. However, a small issue was that the instruction sheet that was supposed to be included was not. No major problem, set-up is mostly intuitive, and I was able to download a manual PDF from the manufacturer's website to double-check my efforts. Still, the instructions SHOULD have been in the box. The sound itself is fairly good, though I haven't been able to adjust it to my complete satisfaction -- how much of the TV's own speaker sound should be mixed with the soundbar? I'm not sure -- it seems to be a personal opinion, but I would have appreciated some advice. As others have mentioned, this unit does not output much in the bass register -- okay for me, as I don't want to shake walls, but it may be a problem for other users. A small annoyance is that when the unit is turned on from the remote, the volume level is rather high no matter at what level it was left (this wouldn't be a problem in a house, but living in a condo with neighbors can make this kind of sudden sound explosion embarrassing and potentially problematic). Another small annoyance is that the adaptor cord is barely long enough in my situation -- I expected it would not reach my surge strip at all, but it did... just barely... and the fact that the jack is at the right end of the bar, rather than the rear center, could well make that cord too short for some users depending on their ball of spaghetti cord-situation. Minor issues, but for some they could be much more major. All in all, for me it seems to be an improvement over my TV's own sound, which was often too bass-heavy and full of distortion -- with the soundbar I've not had the TV volume rattle and hum as it used to do. The bar is small, attractive, and unobtrusive, and priced to sell even for experimental reasons -- can't go wrong with under forty bucks. I'm not one to need surround-sound Dolby etc etc high-end components (and volume needs to be kept reasonable for the common wall), so I don't mind that it's not an earth-shaker. I'll never understand what this seemingly incurable problem is with providing reasonable sound for a flat TV, but it seems to be unresolvable. Not only does the new wave of flat-screen TVs provide fantastic visuals, with almost feather-light frames, but they also provide absolutely dismal sound. I'll never understand why this would be so, but I have a suspicion: They do it so people will resort to buying a sound bar, to provide some semblance of acceptable sound. Except they can't even seem to do that. I've bought no less than half a dozen sound bars, or speaker systems, and the only thing that has met, or actually, exceeded my expectations, was a Bose home theater system. But for my other, smaller TVs, which also needed some help in the sound department, the sound bars they offer are a joke. And a bad joke. One begins to wonder: It could be that they actually are masters of the visual aspect of TV, because it's hard to imagine a TV picture any better than what we are seeing right now. But they don't seem to have a clue when it comes to the audio aspect. And that suspicion seems to be confirmed when we not only get a TV with terrible sound, but can't even find a sound bar that will cure the problem. Actually, it begins to appear that selling TVs with superb visuals but abysmal sound may possibly not be a deliberate ploy, after all. From the evidence, they simply may not be capable of coming up with anything better. I fondly remember having a rear-seat speaker in my 1956 Oldsmobile 98, which was a little 6"X9" speaker in the back window well, which delivered absolutely phenomenal sound, including booming, crisp bass, from the AM car radio, and I could crank it up louder than I could even stand to listen to. Connected by two wires. Now, you see all these sound bars advertised as having fantastic sound, thumping bass, etc, etc, coming from a small, slim housing, which sits neatly under the front of the TV. They tell us just exactly what we want to hear, except none of it is true. You've got to wonder: Where are all these glowing reviews coming from? Surely they're not talking about the same product that so many others are complaining about. In spite of the TV, which really needs the help in the audio department, these all talk about boosting your phone, or computer, and barely even mention that it can be used with your TV. In fact, you order it without any verbal assurance that it will even work with a TV, at all. If it would, by chance, be compatible with your TV, this is only mentioned in passing, and if you don't look hard for it, you will miss it. They mention all of the myriad choices for hooking it up, almost none of which can be understood, with the mangling of English descriptions. Further, they tie it in to a battery, which has to be re-charged, which calls for yet another connection, when we aren't looking for a battery in the first place. We just want a sound system, that works on AC, which will give us halfway decent sound. Somehow, that seems to be beyond the ability of the sellers to understand, or possibly beyond their ability to produce. They're selling their product in the United States, but somehow can't seem to manage to hire someone to describe the product so it can be understood. But the clincher is that most of them either don't work at all, or if they do, the sound you hear coming out is anemic and pitiful. Since virtually all of the sound equipment we can now find is manufactured somewhere in the Orient, and almost none of it is left that is made in the USA, the end result is that we're stuck with beautiful pictures on our TV, but abysmal sound coming out of it. And even when we spend the money to try to remedy the situation, we are hopelessly defeated. Looks like a wonderful opportunity for someone to step in and profit from, but nobody seems to be coming forth. It's really a major mystery as to why so many companies in the business of making speaker systems for TVs and computers are failing so miserably in making something that has been around for decades. That is to say, one that works. The part that defies understanding is that it should be such a simple device to make, and the market for it is incredible. It just doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to design a speaker, in a nice, wood-grain housing, that could be plugged into your TV set, to provide decent sound for a flat TV.

I bought this speaker for my dad, who is hard of hearing. (We got him a hearing aid, but he refuses to wear it!) We have TCL Roku Smart TVs in his house, and he literally has to turn the volume up between 75 to 100, and he still can't hear half the time. And it's awful when commercials come on, because they blast your eardrums out. One of the only positive things about this speaker was that it's easy to install...But there are too many issues, so we are returning it. Issues: 1. There was a lot of static when we first installed it. Yes it was louder than the TV speakers, but it had a buzzing sound in the background. This eventually went away, but it would come on and off. It made me immediately lose confidence in the speakers. We messed around between the two different Aux cord options, and did manage to get through a whole episode on Netflix without the buzzing. But I kept being afraid that the buzzing would eventually come back and ruin the show. 2. The Bluetooth feature wasn't compatible with TCL Roku TVs. I know that it's one of the cheapest Smart TVs on the market, and a lot of you out there probably have one too. It turns out that they force you to buy Roku brand speakers if you want to connect Bluetooth. After looking into it, I realized that the Roku brand speakers are selling for $85 refurbished or $120 new here on Amazon. Yes, it's double the price of this $40 speaker. But to me, it's worth it. On top of that, the Roku speakers claim that they lower the volume of commercials!! (That would be life-changing in this household.) They also make wireless surround sound speakers that sync with their sound bar, which are another $150. So if I want all of it, that's like $300 after tax and shipping. Both of those products have 4.5 star ratings and stellar reviews. I planned on eventually upgrading the room to surround sound eventually. So to see that I have an add-on option was even more reason to get those instead. 3. I personally could not hear any sound improvement at all, compared to the built-in TV speakers. The only thing I knew was that we were able to have the volume set to 35 instead of 100. And my dad said that the sound quality was better, and that he could hear it better than before. With all that being said, I feel like this is a "you get what you pay for" scenario. If $40 is all you can afford to help someone in your home that is hard-of-hearing, then maybe it will be worth it for you. But if you're like me, and you CAN afford it...You're just trying to get a good deal? I say skip this product. I'm returning this.

For years, I've kept a small 24" flat screen tv in my studio/office loft space that I use often when I'm working. While recently watching an action film on DVD, I wished the sound was a little better than the "tinny" sound that was standard on the TV and decided to explore potential soundbars. In addition to being affordable, it needed to be small because of the compact stand the monitor sits on. After a quick search, I stumbled across this item, only 15" wide, pretty much the exact size I needed. After confirming that my tv had sound outputs that were compatible with the soundbar (for me, either an optical digital cable or RCA cable would work), I thought the incredibly reasonable price made it worth checking out. It arrived only two days after ordering. Though I initially couldn't get the optical cable to work, the alternative RCA connector to 3.5 audio plug converter worked perfectly (the RCA plugs go into the tv output and the 3.5 plug goes into the auxiliary plug on the soundbar). I subsequently got the optical cable to work after reading the manual (duh -- I simply had to change the sound settings on the tv from analog to PCM). I'm happy to say it now works beautifully--while I saw some people express the wish that there was more bass, the sound is still plenty robust and rich. I realized what a difference it was because when I was just watching a local news program through my streaming service, I decided there was no need for the soundbar, but after having heard what the soundbar is like, the tv sound all of a sudden sounded incredibly weak and I immediately switched on the soundbar! So no going back now -- I'm extremely happy with the small investment I made. It's also impressive that the soundbar came with several of the needed cable connectors like the above two I mentioned above -- you usually don't get that in more upscale soundbars! Very very satisfied. UPDATE (03/2023)—The soundbar I reviewed above still works great, but wanted to mention that I realized it has built in Bluetooth (and other input options) and was able to play tunes from my mobile device (iPhone) on it! ANOTHER UPDATE (11/2024)—It was awhile ago, but I also was able to program my Firestick remote to recognize the soundbar, so I can now use a single remote for both the tv and the soundbar. I got this off a Reddit board using Google search: use the Lonpoo brand; 5169 is the IR Code for a Majority Soundbar.

I got one of these for my kitchen probably two years ago because I love to have music and podcasts going while I cook and bake. I needed something that didn't rely on a rechargeable battery and that would also fit on top of my microwave. This not only fits perfectly, but two years later, I still have no issues with it. It's a great little soundbar for the money, plays all music clearly, and it even throws a lot of sound if you turn it up higher (I have no idea how far exactly it goes because it's very powerful even on lower settings). I've mostly used it for the Bluetooth connectivity over the years, and it only cuts out if I take my phone to another room (which is to be expected). Otherwise, it maintains the connection very well and will go for hours if you leave it go. I actually ended up buying one for my office last year for cheap waiting room music, and on its lowest sound setting, it's perfect for background music. I just hooked it to my office computer, turned on YouTube Music, and let it play till my workday is finished. More recently, I remembered the other reason I bought this particular model -- the USB capability. I have an enormous vinyl collection (most of which is computerized) and was getting tired of having to wash my hands every time I changed the song on my phone while cooking and baking. So I got a small thumb drive on Amazon, loaded it up with some of my vinyl recordings, and now I can play it all day without having to start and stop and change songs. Christmas Eve, I cooked a holiday dinner for 13 people and was in the kitchen most of the day. The music just played and played without issue for almost twelve hours. The remote works great; this whole unit is worth the price.

Exactly what I needed!! I've used a handful of other sound systems, from super cheap to giant professional DJ. My old room TV sound was going and just needed something to replace it, basic, nothing crazy, just a small room. This was easy to setup, though I wish the aux cords were longer. It has a good range of sound, and connected immediately with no issue. My TV doesn't have the capability to turn it on automatically, so that's my only bummer, not the devices fault! Thankfully the on button is convenient. As a VERY photosensitive person I EXTREMELY appreciate the on/off color button is on the SIDE, so I'm not staring at a bright light that I'd need to cover. So for the amazing price, I think it's a perfect value!

El diseño es compacto, al rededor de los 40cm por lo que es perfecto para televisores pequeños o equipos de cómputo que no cuenten con audio integrado. El sonido es bastante nítido y los bajos son profundos pero la calidad de sonido no es impecable. Esto se aprecia más en niveles de volumen más altos. Eso sí, la potencia es muchísima para el tamaño del altavoz. Recomiendo usarla hasta un máximo del 30% de su potencia, considero que es un nivel suficiente para una habitación no muy grande y cerrada, además que así se evitan distorsiones del sonido y se aprecia un sonido de mejor calidad. No esperes mucho, al contrario, pero por su precio entrega una calidad muy buena y un sonido excelente pero que no llega a remarcable. La probé reproduciendo música en Tidal por medio del cable auxiliar, luego en videos de YouTube, una película en Netflix y finalmente un programa de TV. El sonido es claramente mejor que el de una televisión pequeña ya que éstas suelen tener altavoces de mala calidad y sin presencia de bajos. Su acabado es elegante y me gusta su rejilla metálica al frente. Tengo que agradecer que incluyan cables RCA y AUX, además el control es de buena calidad, yo habría preferido más modos de EQ pero nuevamente por el precio se agradece que haya 3, utiliza 2 pilas AAA y tiene buena respuesta. La recomiendo para personas que quieran un sonido suficiente sin gastar de más, pero si eres audiofilo y necesitas claridad y potencia, ésta bocina no es para tí.

Es excelente, no es muy grande y el sonido es potente y suficiente. Lo uso con mi Laptop y estoy muy satisfecho.

Produto de qualidade e com ótimo acabamento, mas os sons graves decepcionam. Para quem está acostumado com subwoofer separado não recomendo
