My little sister (who is an aspiring artist) loved it! Gave it to her for xmas with pens and a sketch book and we lost her for the rest of the day.

Very easy to follow and straight to the point. An excellent starting point for someone wanting to learn to do portraits.

If you know little or nothing about drawing faces, read this book. By reading this book and following its instructions your drawing will greatly improve.

As an art teacher I have my opinions, this book is not the greatest but not the worst. It covers basic head and feature proportions which is nice. The drawings in the book are remedial- so for an art student who is drawing more seriously this is not the book for you. I think this book is good for children or hobbyists.

My daughter is 13. We got this for her for Christmas and she loves it. It has faces in it of all races which I loved and very good detail instructions to teach you to draw realistically.
