Bamboo Smooth Anti-Humidity Hair Spray, Flexible Hold, 7.5-Ounce

No one told me about the hellacious humidity in Houston. When I first moved there, I was ready to cut off all my hair... I was a walking frizz ball! I worked with a large group of all men who were all bald. Needless to say, I got no sympathy. One of their wives turned me on to this magic spray in a can. It's all I use now. It's a bit pricey (no more than salon brands), but I find myself using less than I would use of the drug store brands; and it is much more effective. I use it every day and go through maybe three cans a year.

My hair type: Super fine, but really thick. It is a joke with my hairdresser that my hair thinks it is curly but it is straight. I have major frizz going on. I also have tried everything under the sun over 20 years, never finding anything that was perfect. Usually I go high end salon products, but nothing would keep my fizz down. I really have tried everything from oils on. My hairdresser told me to try a product that was $60.00. I like my hair, but not that much. Especially when you go through it so fast. When I was looking at the expensive Oribe product I saw this in the Amazon suggestion, and I bought it from the reviews. This product solved EVERYTHING it is by far the best product I have ever used. If I get to it I will add a picture to show how much this works. For the first time in my many years and years of searching I can make my hair look like it was done at a blow bar. It looks great all day, and adds shine, does not feel sticky. No more frizz just wonderful hair. I could not even wear a pony tale before even with spray. Now I can. I have used it four weeks now, and can't live without it. Trust me, if you have frizz, this will solve your problem buy it! I am going to see what else Alterna makes, if they are this good I might switch everything.

As a Houston area native, I have been on the hunt for a good anti-humidity hairspray most of my life. I started getting desperate because I’m a teacher and have to do car duty in the mornings. After standing outside for 30 minutes, my curly hair (which I sometimes straighten) is a frizzy mess before the day ever really begins. I got to a place where I stopped fixing it in the mornings and just put it in a bun because what’s the point in putting forth all the effort when it ends up looking awful anyway. I saw some reviews for this hair spray and thought it might be the one to keep my hair from looking like a poof ball. Unfortunately it isn’t. The morning after I got this, I was all excited and actually styled my hair and used this hair spray. I could feel that it gave my hair a bit of a heavy, rough feel, but if it actually worked, that wouldn’t be a deal-breaker. I went to the car line and after 15 minutes outside, I could tell the frizz was starting (when you have frizz - prone hair, you can just sense it getting puffy). I asked my friend how my hair was doing and she confirmed it - frizz. I went inside 30 minutes later and checked the mirror. It was like I had done nothing to my hair. I almost think it looked frizzier than normal. So I put my hair in a bun again and am still searching for a spray that works.This may work if you don’t have to be outside for extended periods of time or are in a moderately humid climate, but my experience is that it provided zero humidity protection.

My hair does not like humidity. It is fine and somewhere between straight/wavy but with no rhyme or reason, and neither straightening nor curling is more beneficial than the other. On a muggy day, my hair will instantly lose the curl I just put in it and turn into a weird frizzy, saggy sadness. This hairspray helps about as well as anything I’ve tried, sometimes saving a little bit of my curl. It does get rather stiff, though. Oh well. Off to battle another coastal NC summer.

Love this hair spray!! I have baby fine hair that lays flat and has no life, when I finally get it styled and looking decent it will usually last 15 or 20 minutes. The wrong hairspray, and it's weighted down and a sticky mess. Alterna Bamboo hairspray is lightweight enough to NOT weigh down my hair at all and it holds and it lasts literally all day!! And actually, I can often get 2 days out of a style when I use this. Absolutely try it, I think you'll be happy.

My hair reacts to the slightest humidity - this is the only product I've tried (and I've tried many, including pretty much the whole John Frieda line!) that holds my hairstyle without frizz. Careful, though - a little goes a long way and it can quickly go from 'stiff hold' to 'crunchy'. You may need to test your hair to see just how much you need.

This is my first summer in Michigan and my hair went sort of insanely frizzy on the hotter, humid days in a way it didn't before. Like, blow-dry, walk a couple hundred yards to work, and it looked like I'd slept with wet hair and gone straight to work. This is the third anti humidity hairspray I've tried and, unlike the others, this one works. The spray does go on a little stiff, but it's flexible enough to comb fingers through for a more natural look and still holds and prevents frizz all day. The price is good compared to the other two I tried. I say go for it.

Fabulous product and great fast service from the seller! I'm a hairspray SNOB and use it every single day. I have one at work, in my car and always 3 or 4 backups at home. I have bone straight hair but like 'big' 80's hair and this stuff makes it happen! Totally humidity proof, nice scent and doesn't build up like most of the powered sprays do. Get some!

This is the best hairspray I have ever used. I have shoulder length naturally curly hair which I blow dry smooth ( ish). At the slightest bit of dampness in the air my hair goes back curly and Frizzy. This hairspray works and prevents the curl/ frizz springing back. It leaves your hair soft not rock solid like some other products . It lasts a long time too and doesn't seem to leave a build up of residue . An excellent product, highly recommended and worth the money!

Expensive but excellent as I never used to like hair spray on my fine, prone to firzz hair and hair felt natural. Quite pricey but I'll buy it again.

it states it's anti humidity,& it is, I wear my hair up on damp,and also windy days,as I have very thick frizzy unruly hair & this tames it,brushes out easily,dosent make hair stiff so you have lots of flexibility,promt delivery,well packaged

I didn't get to fully use this hairspray as it appeared to have leaked so there was very little in the can when I went to use it sadly.
