GreenPan Rio 12pc Ceramic Non-Stick Cookware Set, Black -

I love to cook. Cleaning up the stuck on stuff after wards? Not so much. First I purchased just 3 sizes of Green pan Rio, with the oven safe handles. Fell so in love with these frying pans, I had to have the deeper casserole. From there. I could not fight the craving for every size pot. By Christmas, I knew the experience just had to be shared. So... I purchased two sets, one for my sister and one for my niece. At first my sister was disappointed she could not fry with olive oil, but then she considered the health benefits of using vegetable oil, a wee bit of butter, or even a mere spot of water. The ease of cleaning has all of us overjoyed. But most of all, the food can be cooked at a lower temp, is so much better tasting, and with less oil or butter, it is better for your health. These are a superb set of cookware we all agree we heartily recommend.

After trying out a GreenPan Fry Pan, I just couldn't wait to get an entire cookware set. I am so impressed how heavy duty and scratch resistant it is. Of course I never use metal utensils on it, always wood or nylon.I do highly recommend these for smooth glass top stoves. They are smooth on the bottoms and will not scratch or damage your glass top. After reading many of the reviews, I believe they would not work well with gas ranges in my opinion.It amazes how little or how you need no butter or oils to cook some particular foods. Clean up is a breeze, you can even get away with just using a paper towel to wipe it clean!I am extremely happy with my purchase. Keep in mind it does have a two-year limited warranty The warranty on the Thermolon ceramic non-stick coating is limited to manufacturing defects.I will be adding more to my collection for sure.

These pans are amazing! Nothing sticks to them and they cook evenly. They are not too heavy and who doesn't love a cool handle. They look good, they perform well and clean like a dream. I have spent this much on a single pan and not been this happy. I highly recommend these for any home cook.

I bought this cookware for my husband (a professional cook for 30+ years) 2.5 years ago because he wanted them. He realizes now that was a big mistake. Prior to them we had stainless steel (that we donated to my son's school when we got these) that we had for decades. You can't put these in the dishwasher because they are only coated with ceramic as opposed to being made of ceramic. Even hand washing them causes chipping. Right after getting them my husband made fried potatoes in the one pan and it got stained. Those stains never came out.Stainless steel is what we're going back to. You don't have to fuss over what kind of utensils we use, they can go in the dishwasher and you can use cleaners like SOS pads and not worry. Another reason we're going back to SS is teflon flakes like ceramic and aluminum leaches into the food at high temperatures.Nothing but stainless from here on out!! HUGH disappointment

The pots and pans looked great for awhile. They appear to be well constructed. I have had mine for over 2 years now and I am ready to toss the frying pans and get something different. The pots are still in very good shape. When new, the cookware off gassed something awful. It smelled really strong. That stopped after a couple of months. They were truly non stick and they cleaned up easily. Here is what I don't understand. They claim you can melt cheese and cook anything you want on here with out it sticking - except oils or non-stick sprays. So the things you use on Stainless steel and cast iron cookware to prevent sticking, you can't use here. Hmmm Well eventually things started sticking and we started using non-stick and oil. As you can see in the picture, if I don't use non-stick, eggs and sausage stick like glue. They are really difficult to clean off as well. Clean up is much more difficult than any other pan I have. As for the toughness. Well if you look at the clean pot, you will see where my wife cut grooves into the pan. So, not so tough. Overall, while they looked nice and worked well when I bought them, I would not buy them again. Well, not buy the pans. The pots are still working pretty well. The lids all still look new.

First of all, I love these pots and pans. There is nothing wrong with them.I want so badly to give 5 stars but I have one reservation... it depends on your stovetop. I have a commercial grade DCS oven (inherited it with my house) that has large, very high BTU burners on the cooktop. I have to be very careful with these pans so that the handles (plastic) don't get too close to the heat or they start making a burnt plastic/chemical smell. This happens with the smaller and medium pans centered on the burners even using low heat, so I have to back them off on the handle side a bit.I have pots with metal handles (same Greenpan brand as well as others) and they don't have this problem. I chose this set, however, because the shape of the pots/pans and the variety within the set really appealed to me. Also, since the handles aren't metal there are no rivets inside the actual pots, making a smoother surface for cleanup.Outside of that issue relating to my own cooktop, these pans are great. The nonstick is exceptional and cleanup is a breeze. I've cooked lots of red sauces in them and there is no staining whatsoever.I'd definitely recommend these for someone with a normal stovetop, but if you have a crazy cooktop like I do - be careful!
