It would be okay for 400g dough but probably over doing it. That said if you ever do need larger quantities of dough you would appreciate the larger capacity.

Hi, As it's a professionally made design, it takes a lot. So far have used it mainly to make bread up to 2kg. If in doubt, check on the kitchen aid website.
