Thunderer TRAC GRIP M/T Mud R Tire-285/75R16 126Q

The quick version of the review is this: Absolutely worth the money! I'm super pleased. Have a few issues, but overall an excellent buy. All 12 tires are performing wonderfully.A little more details is as follows: I was originally hesitant to buy tires on the internet. And apprehensive about a brand I don't know much about. However, after researching the tires, then visiting the dealer and comparing prices, I decided to try these out. Thanks to all of the guys that wrote reviews about these by the way! I have been a loyal customer to the local tire store for decades, but saving a $1000 a set is huge. All previous sets of tires for my truck usually cost me around $2000 each and need replacing every other year. They didn't either have available or make the size that I usually run on my primary truck, so I bought these for my son's truck. A few weeks after getting them put on, I liked them enough to buy a set for my truck too. Both sets, a total of 12 tires, are in service on DRWs (duallys). I usually run a larger tire, but the version of the Thunderer in 285/70R17 was close enough to try. I often pull trailers on soft uneven ground. I wear out tires pretty fast, so it wasn't going to be a huge deal if they didn't work that great. I pull a dump bed gooseneck trailer quite a bit... and it's pretty heavy when full...and it's up a really long, steep grade... on a dirt road in the mountains. I also have ran these tires on a 900 mile road trip on the interstate a few times. They ride really well. Here' my points-1. 10 ply tires. More the better when loaded heavy2. Aggressive tread works well on my dirt roads and in the fields. We are just now getting snow and they work fine. Not as good gripping as all seasons by any means, but to be expected from mud terrains3. Good flotation on wet ground, maybe a little bad flotation on asphalt when unloaded. It just took some time getting used to the performance of the tires. MTs, so pretty normal.4. Noise isn't that bad at all. Can hear them when coasting with the window down.5. 4 months into it and they are wearing very well.6. Had to re-position one of the tires on the rim to get it to balance well, but that's no big deal.7. I think they look good on the truck.8. Wish they made a bigger one, but that is not really relevant.All in all, I will definitely buy another set. I recommend them if you are wanting a decent tire that is reasonably priced.

Been running these on a 1999 Land Cruiser since September 2017, and I am very happy with them. The price is great for a true mud tire, they ride great, are not too noisy (any mud tire is going to make some road-noise), and they have worn very well. After a year of daily driving on pavement, they still have at least 2/3 of the tread. And they perform very well in the mud - my Cruiser plows right through and gets me where I need to go.

Put LT285/75/r16 on 03 f-250. Like the aggressive tread, surprised as how quiet they are. Actually more quiet than a set of the new BFG A/T I had.

I put these on my 2007 chevy daully. Love the. 2 of the six took a little more weight to balance them however they drive great down the road. In reading the reviews I was alittle worried on the quality of the tire but after I have them on they are a great tire in the snow, ice, mud, and on the highway. They are a tire that is half the price of a big name brand tire and work just as good for an all around tire. I am giving them a 5 because of the price and quality for the cheapest tire I could find.

Update April 12, 2019:I’ve been running this since January of 2018 and I’m still loving these tires. Holding up tremendously! Very even wear and still have plenty of tread left.Great tires. They look great and ride great on my 2001 F250. I've got about 1000 miles on them so far and have zero complaints. The road noise is very minimal and the tires drive great. Highly recommend so far. Will update if anything goes bad

Bought these for my 2003 GMC plow truck. They arrived quicker then expected and were far better then I ever thought they would be. While the tread is aggressive and claim they are for mud, I have used them in the snow, on the highway, for plowing, and off road. The tires are great. I have no complaints, and would buy them again. As a matter a fact, I plan on getting these for my 2000 Dodge Durango very soon. Thanks

Received them last week. Mounted perfectly without a problem on my 2007 H3 Hummer with stock rims. So far I am absolutely thrilled with them. If they still make these when I am ready to purchase again I will buy these tires again from the same people. Fast shipping and all questions answered in a timely manner. Will add photos soon..

Thought I was just buying a cheap tire to get me a year or so but they are great! Hardly any road noise and they smoothed out my ride so much! Look great installed too!
