Speedo Centre Snorkel

Brilliant piece of kit that has revolutionised my crawl. I was getting neck and upper back discomfort which was causing me problems (yes I probabaly need some more lessons!) but this has stopped that which has been great.On a seperate side note for any anxiety suffers - This has been a brilliant tool to for forcing you to breath properly (any shallow breathers out there will relate!) After a half an hour swim, this has been great for calming and I've felt better since using it.

Swapped to this one after trying another brand. Love this one - it's light, can be worn loose so as not to leave marks on forehead, and has a small mouth piece - so no raw rubbing like the other I tried. Takes a bit of getting used to, but neck already feels better - reason I have to use it, and I can concentrate on my stroke.

I wanted this as I am unable to turn my head side to side when swimming and it seemed a good alternative. I use a normal snorkel heavily through the year so this felt a little unusual but I quickly adjusted. I used it first with just goggles and quickly found I was swallowing water some how. I worked out it was coming in through my nose while breathing with my mouth. I then purchased some swimming nose pegs from Amazon - these ones in fact - https://amzn.to/2HQEGMD and the snorkel now works as i expected and I can continue to breath normally while swimming.

Haven't use another to compare it with, but it's lightweight and comfortable, and easy to fit. However, I subsequently found out on my first use that the local pool has banned them unless you have a health reason. (Swallowing chlorinated water?) Even the life guard was a bit sceptical about this reason. The only other reasons he came up with were that that the fitting could pressure on the front of your head, and if you were floating face down they wouldn't know if you were in difficulties. Nonetheless, I did manage two lengths before the objection, and it was much easier (I'm only a casual swimmer). Shall use it in the sea instead.

This was bought for an eleven year old, size is fine the head band adjusts the same as a pair of goggles, with a rubber/silicone head strap. Only draw back is that this does not come with a nose clip, but as this was not advertised with one I cant really moan. I'm told its fun to use in training, so very happy with the purchase.

No matter how much I try I can not get this to sit comfortably on my head. The inch and a half forehead rest is square and made of super hard durable material which I find totally impossible to locate on my head.

This piece of equipment is great for swimming training to keep your head low down in the water and to make sure you concentrate on your hand position. The Snorkel can also be used on holiday in the sea or in the pool for fun. This can be used for great fun.

Great training aid has brought my front crawl on leaps and bounds as it allows me to focus on body position in the water and getting my pull right without having to worry about my breathing.

I know this is meant for advanced swimmers to improve stroke technique, but I use it with my children to increase their swimming confidence in the water. Brilliant!

Would definitely buy again. has held up wonderfully and is exactly what I need for training. Would caution there is no nose cover so you must be comfortable with that.

The reports from the swimmers is that the valve does become a problem leaving a small residual of water in.

I had another centre snorkel before this one but I could hardly make 50m before starting to swallow too much water. With this one I can swim with comfort and no worries at all. The valve works great and the angle of the mouthpiece is perfect.

Described as suitable for children - only just. But that means it has growing room. Works well.

Disappointed !!The snorkel didn’t perform very well, the plug came lose whilst in the pool after only 3-4 weeks occasional use - couldn’t find or purchase a spare part like other snorkels, seller wouldn’t offer an exchange so had to buy a new one elsewhere!
