Great versatile watch
Everything about this watch is great. Size is perfect, gray dial background is versatile and goes with any band style, formal or casual. The luminesence on the hands and hour markers is bright. It has windup ability in addition to the motion charging of its action. It has drilled lugs for easy band removal. Overall, it’s a nice step up from my old Seiko SNK805. Seiko gives great value and style with this watch. The Amazon seller who filled my order is Ralph’s Jewlery who are an authorized Seiko dealer and the Seiko warranty card was included. Other online watch sellers may deal in the gray market and may not provide the Seiko warranty. My watch runs about 5 sec per day fast which is very acceptable for this type of automatic watch. Not many people wear traditional watches anymore, This watch will far outlive the latest electronic smart watch that will age out as happens to all technology.

The Best Seiko in Years!
I really enjoy this watch. I've grown tired of dive watches, so it's great to see Seiko release a versatile sports watch at an affordable price point. I think the dial, hands, and case are all excellent and suit the watch very well. I bought the version on the NATO because I wanted the brushed bezel, and I'm glad I did. It looks even better in person. All that being said, the watch is not perfect. Here are my thoughts on it.Pros:- Hacking and Hand-Winding 4R36 Movement- Excellent dial, hands, case for the money- I got lucky and received a Made in Japan model, although depending on the seller you might not be as fortunate- Great brand at an affordable price (I paid $208)Cons:- The case is quite thick for a watch of this size. Due to it's shape it does wear extremely comfortable, but it can look a little odd on wrist- The nato strap seems decent, however due to how it connects it only makes the watch sit higher above your wrist. Personally I will be replacing it with a single pass perlon strap- Only Hardlex crystal, not sapphire. For $208 I'm not that upset, at $275 retail it would be unacceptable- The packaging was surprisingly bad. It probably doesn't matter much, but I think it is interesting how my Seiko SNK809 that I paid $70 for a few years ago had much nicer packaging than this $208 Made in Japan watch.Overall I think this is a great watch. It has earned its place as my new 'everyday' watch.UPDATE: About 4 months after I bought this I went to adjust the date and the crown fell off. It appears that they did not put any threadlocker on the stem, so it just unscrewed and fell off. Luckily, I have some experience attaching crowns and stems, so I was able to fix it without too much hassle. However, if you don't have any experience working on watches it might be quite the headache. I'm keeping my original 5 star review because I do still like the watch, but I thought I should mention this.

This new line of watches is very nice. They are 2mm smaller than an SKX and 1mm thinner.
For awhile I was torn between the gray and the blue. I wound up buying both.I love the classic Seiko divewatch design, and I don't miss the rotating "diver's" bezel. The slightly smaller size make a difference for me. The sunray pattern is very light gray in bright light. The blue is a little easier to read, but I find that I like the gray better. The 4R36 movement is an upgrade -- windable and hackable. It has a display caseback too. Lume is very good. This model has the brushed bezel. I like it very much. Look carefully before you buy. There are multiple colors and each has a choice between shiny or brushed bezel. The gray Nato strap is ok but ordinary. I used the metal band that came with the blue SRPE53. This is comfortable and can be worn overnight with no irritation whatsoever.Mine came from "Beach Cities Watch Co.". It came with Seiko warranty card. I was pleasantly surprized when I wound up with a MADE IN JAPAN model.-Chris

Stylish with a third party strap
The SEIKO SRPE61 is a fantastic example of style and affordability combined. The first thing to note is its interior design. The dark-grey dial looks very modern and stylish and immediately catches the eye.One drawback to mention is the strap that comes with it. It may not look very good and may not match the watch's overall style. However, this is not a significant issue since the strap can easily be replaced with one that you like.Another thing to consider is the watch's accuracy. It is not very accurate, but for this price it is very acceptable.Overall, the SEIKO SRPE61 is an excellent choice for those looking for a stylish watch at an affordable price. Its modern design and interchangeable strap make it attractive to many. It's also worth noting that it's made of high-quality materials and has great potential for durability.
