So much easier than using a Chimney Starter.
The only reason I am giving these 4 Stars is because they are a bit pricey for what they are: They are about a dollar a piece and each one is only good for one setting. With that being said, this is the best (and quickest) method I have found to getting a charcoal fire started. My college roommate got me hooked on these. We had both of our grills going one evening, he used one of the Silver Nugget Fire Starters and I was using a Chimney Starter for the charcoal. With very little effort his coals took off while I was sitting there trying to get my coals started with the chimney. 20 minutes later my coals were ready and he had already grilled a dozen burgers. No contest.

great firestarter
My wife bought these last year, but I didn't use them until this year. They appear to be wax impregnated cardboard. They start easily with any flame and burn for quite some time. An easy way to get a fire started. I think they might work for starting charcoal as well. Have not tried it for that. Probably could make something very similar with some wax and cardboard. I think they were on clearance when Fran bought them but are normally almost $5 a package. Kind of pricey for my taste for regular use.note: I tried to attach a video review but it would run for a while and then quit. See my blog post of 5-20-13 for the video if you are interested.
