Great lesson in responsible behavior for helping the planet
I think this is a great book to have in your family's home library as it reminds us adults and teaches children that we each can do our part to help protect the environment. This kid's book is probably best suited for preschool to about 3rd grade age children. Each page is devoted to a letter of the alphabet with a word featuring the letter along with a rhyming sentence or two incorporating the word. For example for the letter C, compost is the word and there are a few sentences talking about putting food scraps in a compost bin. Each page has colored illustrations as well. Some of the ideas and actions mentioned include planting a garden, fixing things when they are broken instead of rushing out to buy something new, switching off lights and turning off the water when you brush your teeth, and donating items you don't need rather than throwing them away. Simple things but when added up can make a positive impact. A great lesson in responsible behavior. For the most part the author did a good job with the theme of things you can do to help the planet. There is a little bit of repetition in terms of some ideas being similar. However, this is a children's book so that's not necessarily a bad thing as it helps drive in the point. A few of the rhymes are awkward sounding, meaning it doesn't flow all that well when reading it aloud. But these are just nitpicky type things because overall I do like this book. The last few pages of the book are devoted to definitions of words like pollution and climate as well as a bit of a recap of the different actions you can take to help planet Earth.

ABC Earth-Friendly Me is a great book to introduce young ones to care for the environment
This board book has so many good things going: a durable board book, the interesting pictures and colors will make you linger and look at the detail of the scene, font is easy to read, and the earth-friendly concepts are easy to read and understand for elementary school children. It most definitely is a great book to give as a gift, read aloud in school, and for bedtime reading even. Some of the pages have a keyword in a black bubble and these are explained at the end of the book. So it has something for higher level readers and thinkers. It will get little minds to think about what they can do to help the place and environment they live in. Maybe adults too will be motivated and encouraged to take some action after reading this book, if they don't already do those things.Overall, a great buy and a great gift!

Teaches Important Concepts
I really like ABC for Me: ABC Earth-Friendly Me for children. I got this for my three year old son and he really likes the illustrations. I like that it teaches him ways to take care of our planet. This is an alphabet book and each letter stands for a way to take care of the environment. For example, S is for Swap (as in if you want to get rid of something, you could swap it with a friend). The text along with the illustrations do a good job of teaching kids how to be good earth citizens. Another thing that I like about the book is that it is a board book and it is on the larger side. This allows my son to really be able to look at the pictures and examine each page. Overall, a great find for someone trying to teach kids to take care of our planet!

Good message with great illustrations
This is a large board book focused on encouraging kids to do what they can to care for the Earth. It's an ABC book so each page is a letter with a environment related word and a little rhyme. (Just a couple sentences). The terms vary from Action (like "Take action to save the planet!") to Pollination to Compost. It's a good variety--there is focus on the air, the oceans, animals, plants, garbage, etc. My 5 year old likes it and it seems to be inspiring him. He has asked to read it several night in a row.In addition to the good message, the illustration are wonderful. Bright, bold colors and drawing that illustrate the different concepts well. My son really enjoys looking at all the pictures. A very good book for a budding ecologist.

Great book with helpful ideas for little-ones (and grown-ups!) on how to be more earth-friendly
"ABC for Me: ABC Earth-Friendly Me: From Action to Zero Waste, here are 26 things a kid can do to care for the Earth!"...I really love this book. It's an over-sized board book, so it's bigger than a lot of the small board books that are geared towards babies and toddlers. I got this for my 3-year-old grandson so he (and his mom, too) can start to learn about and become familiar with ways to be more earth-friendly.This book has simple illustrations which are fine for young children. I do have to agree with another reviewer who described some of the verse as "awkward and clunky". A lot of it really doesn't flow very well. But the premise is so important, and there are enough positives to this book that I won't take off any stars for that.I really appreciate that this book not only gives an eco-friendly word for each letter, but also gives a description of what the word or concept means. There is also a section included in the back with ideas for things you and your child can actually do to help make a difference. This book is sturdy, colorful, has lots of useful and important information, and is a great introduction to eco-friendly concepts for young children. I recommend it.

Fun book!
This is a very cute book larger size board book that goes through the alphabet with rhymes following a theme of how you can be environmentally conscious and earth-friendly. For example, F is for “Fix it” and the rhyme on that page emphasizes that instead of throwing out something the breaks, fix it instead. It seems suitable for preschoolers around ages 3-5. The illustrations are bright and interesting. The back of the book has suggestions for what the child can do to help be earth friendly, and also a dictionary of environmental terms that most 3-5 year olds would probably begin to understand, like “pollination”.I recommend this book for anyone who wants to help their child learn about being earth friendly. It’s also a fun book to read.I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases. I do that because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. I hope my review helped you.
