Highly recommend, cant stop talking about it
I am extremely pleased with this product. Set up was fairly straightforward, it took 3 tries to get it to connect, but the instructions specifically say that this may be the case. Once connected, it has not lost a signal. I even popped the factory batteries out and replaced them with my own name brand and it reconnected in a matter of seconds. One key piece of information - there is only one port for a sensor, be that a door sensor, moisture sensor, or antenna. You cannot have the door sensor installed and also run an antenna. I was concerned because of the distance of where I was locating the Elertus in relation to my router. It's at least 100 feet away, on a different floor, and the Elertus is inside of a giant metal box - it still stays connected flawlessly. It has successfully alerted me when the safe is shaken, opened, if it detects light, etc within a few seconds of the event, most of the time. It has taken as long as 60 seconds to receive a text. It also provides approximately hourly updates to an app on my smartphone of the current status, which includes temperature and humidity readings. I couldn't say anything better about the Elertus.Update - batteries have been at 100% for two days which makes me confident they are going to last as long as it says they will. I have also been making it send 100 texts at least lately as I aligned the door sensor and adjust lights, which I think would drain the power more quickly. The door sensor works like a charm and mounted very easily. The unit comes with Velcro that adheres to fabric very securely.Update - 2 weeks later battery is at 90%. Not bad. It lost the signal to my router about 10 times a day if it was in the top right corner of my safe. Moved it down 6 inches and it hasnt lost signal since. It has been perfectly reliable as far as signalling for light or the door.Update - about 3 weeks into use and I am ridiculously pleased with this product. Batteries are still at 90% It signals flawlessly and within about 10 seconds of the event, and ever since I positioned it down on the middle of my safe wall it has not lost a router signal.7/16/16 update - battery is at 50%. It hasnt lost signal to the router in several months. Works perfectly everytime it detects and event.10/16/16 update - batteries at 20% after about 8 months, replaced them and it immediately reconnected to the wi fi. Still extremely happy with it, works perfectly.

Works okay with a bit of a hack
I installed this in my wine cellar for the purpose of sending me alerts when the temperature or humidity are too high or too low. It works for that, but it's a bit of a hack. I put an NIST certified thermometer/hygrometer next to it, and the Elertus consistently reads 4-5 degrees F too cold (if it says 52F, it's really 56-57F) and it consistently reads 5-6% too dry (if it says 64% humidity, it's really 69-70% humidity). That said, I can adjust the temperature and humidity alert settings down so that I can still get alerts when the temp is over 60F or under 50F (it won't let you set high/low alerts any closer than 10F to each other) by setting the Elertus to send alerts at 55F and 45F respectively, and similar for the hygrometer. It works, and I'll keep it, but for $200 it should be more accurate.

Decent features, could use some improvements for alerts
I like the product, currently own 3 of them for various scenarios - remote shed, greenhouse, and detached garage.Found that the door sensor was quirky, disabled it. have not tried the water sensor yet, hopefully that will work for areas I'm looking to monitor. Kind of pricey for each sink or toilet, for example, but useful for basement/water heater issues, I suspect.Motion sensor works fairly well, find some issues with it not working all the time, depends on positioning of the unit likely. To get it to work reliably, I put the sensor on the door itself, so the motion created by door movement guarantees an alert.Very easy to set up and configure.I would like more customized alerting options, and be able to structure the message sent. If you have more than one sensor, alerts received are informative, but could use some tweaking. All in all, the device is nice, a bit pricey, but has worked for over a week now.I agree with the posters that the temperature appears to be a bit off. I have atwo temperature and humidity sensors next to the Elertus, and the Elertus appears to be slightly off and much more prone to being off by 5-10 degrees, at least for alerts.I recommend that Elertus allow for a historical collection of data, and have the ability to show that on the website. It would be useful to see a range of values for each sensor item.

It was easy to set up and I could check the temperature ...
I returned this unit this morning. It was easy to set up and I could check the temperature online and that was always within a degree or two of other thermometers I have in the house. However, I have spent a week trying to get it to send me alerts via text and email when the temperature dropped below my "low temp" trigger point and had very little luck with that. Once in a while I got an email and only one time did I get a text and I have been playing with it every day for a week. The unit worked fine but the alerts were very unreliable and I need something I can trust when I'm away from the house. Interestingly, when I removed the batteries this morning before packing it up, I got an email alert about that right away. No text alert though. I'm looking for something more reliable to alert me when I'm away from home if the temperature drops below the trigger point.

Good concept.
Good concept.......however, would not stay connected to a WiFi access point. I have three in the house and the closest one was less than six feet away. I even took the elert and held it right next to the AP then pressed/released the white button....always came back with a Red light which indicates no communication. Connected fine on setup, sent me alerts but after a few minutes would never connect again until I pressed the white setup button and re-inserted all my connectivity info. Repeated this over a 4hour period. Gave up, repackaged, returning on Monday. I may have got a bad one so I am going to order one from Liberty with the external antenna and see if this makes a difference.
