I was in two minds as to whether to purcahse this alarm clock because of the cost. However, I'm glad I did. It's a very dinky alarm clock. Ideal for travelling, but I also use it for my bedside alarm clock. The build quality is ogood and justifies the price. Despite it's small size the alarm gradually increases to a point where it is plently loud enough to wake me. I am short sighted, but the display is plently large enough for me to see the time at night without my glasses. I especially like the soft touch sensor on the top of the clock to light up the display, and stop the alarm to put it into 5min snooze mode. Setting the time, alarm time, 12/24 hour display setting is also straight forward. I can honsestly say this is by far the best alarm clock I've bought for both travel and as an everyday bedside clock.

This is small and a good size for travelling. In my view it's slightly too small for a regular bedside clock so get the larger Braun bedside clock. It is expensive but I see it as good value because it has a long life relative to the cheap and clunky poor quality "unknown" brands listed

There's only one reason I haven't given this clock a 5 star rating - no synchronisation with the time signal. I tried and tried to find a replacement for my extremely old Braun BNC008BK-RC which just ran and ran for years before I had to replace the battery, and kept perfect time because it received the time signal from Derby. That also meant I never had to worry about resetting it for BST and GMT. Unfortunately, in the last couple of years some of the segments on the digital display started failing and it's now got to the point where I can't always decipher the time. With no sensible alternative, I've had to bite the bullet and get a new clock. Apart from the lack of radio control, and a repositioning of the buttons, it is virtually identical to my old clock so I expect good things from it, and it is still the smallest, most compact clock I've come across. Without the time signal, it's supposed to be accurate to 15 seconds per month so I should only need to adjust it when I'm switching between BST and GMT anyway. Updated: I've given some consideration to those reviewers who claimed the display was not easy to read due to low contrast and I think they have a valid point - in dim light, this can be a problem. I don't find it a particular issue myself, but then I have 20/20 vision and good discrimination. On the odd occasion I do struggle to make out the numbers, the clock is within easy reach and touching the top of the clock activates the light which makes everything stand out clearly. The digits are 12mm high (the alarm 8mm) which should be good enough for some partially sighted people. I still reckon this clock is a real bargain.

I love the small, simple, minimalist design that is not intrusive and doesn't have any random unnecessary features. The time and alarm is easy to set (one button is a bit fiddly but I think you get used to it and I think it also becomes a bit less fiddly with use). The time is visible in the daylight but not in a dark room. The screen lights up when you touch the top, but it's quite a low light that is not like headlights in your face in the middle of the night. I wouldn't want anything brighter. The alarm starts with a quiet beep that becomes louder and more rapid. It means I wake up less startled and I think I am also more awake (woken up more naturally) so I don't feel as much need to snooze and go right back to sleep. Highly recommend. It's the best alarm clock I could find on Amazon.

I like the design of this clock. It's small but the digits are big. It lights up for about 10 seconds when you touch the little button on top. The light's not overly bright — just about right I think. [You can't set it to stay on all night though.] Adjusting the time for both the clock and alarm is simple. It takes one AAA battery. I can't say how long the battery will last as I've only had the clock a couple of days. [I also can't say how loud the alarm beep is since I haven't used it yet and have no plans to.] Overall, I think this is a great little clock.

Good clock and I decided to keep it but be warned you will struggle to see the number in day light which to some may defeat its purpose. I use as it as an additional morning alarm and to check the time at night by tapping it. Quality is good but this could have been perfect.

Finally, a travel alarm clock that works! It’s small, but perfect for travelling, with no parts sticking out to be knocked while in my suitcase. It didn’t come with an instruction manual, just a card directing me to their website, and I’m not that tech savvy, but it proved easy to access and set the time and alarm. It was already set to the 12 hour format, though it is easy to change to the 24 version if wished. The AAA battery fitted well too. I tested the alarm this morning. It starts quietly, then the volume rises to a good level for waking me up. The snooze button worked well, and the back light holds nicely for 10 seconds, enough for viewing. You can still read the time on the display without the light, but it doesn’t disturb sleep. Also, it’s keeping good time. All in all a really good buy. I definitely recommend this product.

I did not think it was this small. It’s not a bad thing. Especially that it says travel alarm clock. But the speaker sound is quite low. Surely it won’t wake me up. Very handy and easy to operate. Uses only one AAA battery. Touch button to snooze and wake the back light for 10 seconds.

the beep is way too soft. although it is a good looking product. but it does not serve the purpose as alarm clock. the setting is easy to use what ashame i would love to keep it but no one could wake up with this volume of beep even if its crescendo.

Some might think this is too small but it is all that is needed in an alarm clock. Has minimal controls but does everything. Battery operated, 6 months now and it seems it will go forever. It has the best alarm I've come across; it isn't loud at any time during its 3 stage ascending alarm but the secret must be in the precise tone of the alarm. It doesn't jolt you awake, just lets you know its there. Has a preset 5 minute snooze time, you don't need further settings. Just about perfect I'd say and worth the money.
