Evelina: Blaire's World

Ally Vance delivered with this book. It stayed true to Blaire’s World and the author was able to give delicious darkness that made it irresistible. I devoured every word in this masterpiece.The character development in this book is flawless. Ally adds the type of character depth that will have you feeling such strong emotions that every second immersed in her stories is like being right there. I love the attention she puts not just to the main characters but every character in a book, even the ones you hate. I fell in love with both main characters. My love of Luka may cross to obsession though and I have claimed him. He’s mine! The world building was consistent throughout and absolutely vivid, even the scenes that made me cringe were perfectly detailed.This story had me on the edge of my seat. I needed to know what happened and the author wrote a fast paced book that kept me in suspense. The twists had me holding my breath and I couldn’t put it down. I was emotionally captivated in the best way and my only complaint is that the book had to end! An absolute must read.5 stars for an emotionally intense and captivating read!

Be warned this is a dark book, with dark elements. It may have triggers for some. If you don't think you can handle that this may not be for you. Otherwise, keep on, keeping on, because this series of Blair's World books are so freaking good.What happens when your faith in the one you're the most loyal to, gets tested, and you have to choose? This addition to the Blaire’s world collection is compulsive and disturbing reading...Following the trials and tribulations of the eponymous heroine who through a series of misfortunes becomes the traveling companion to Luka, a ruthless killer. The journey they embark on is full of treachery and violence..Evelina is an intriguing character...she is stolen, used and abused, and she should be broken, but somehow she remains resilient no matter what life throws at her...and Luka is both her downfall and her saviour but there can be no happy endings in the world they inhabit.There are unexpected plot twists and emotional highs and lows in this dark and at times disquieting read, which I found completely riveting ..... I received an advanced copy of this book from the author.

I’m a lover of a good dark read and Ms Vance does just that. She delivers.Evelina’s story is brutal, hard to read and down right dark. She has been kidnapped, raped, beaten and a toy for all of Maxim’s perverted friends.This story is a quick read and Vance has left no stone unturned. It’s well written and the graphic details in which some of the scenes unfold both put me on edge and highlighted the fact that this kind of thing actually does happen in real life.It’s fast paced and while not exactly insta-love but romance can sometimes come from broken salvation.

Right away I hated Lukas. I was terrified for Evelina. The dark thoughts that came out of her soon to be - lover? But, the story held my interest to the - end? 5 stars for keeping me enthralled.

Wow. This series keeps getting darker and darker. Evelina was captured at age 14. After Makium was killed she escaped only to be returned by Luka and then he is the one to save her. Glad it was an HEA.

It’s captivating, the second you start reading you jsut wont be able to let go... its a very deeply felt story

I would rate this book somewhere between a 3.5 and 4 star.Ms. Vance’s writing is excellent!She delivers a book that had me on the edge of my seat and holding my breath at different times in the book.For a short story she packs it full!Evelina was an astonishing character.She’s lived through so much nightmare in her short life.Yet the fire in her never demished.She had a strong will to survive and live.What didn’t fit into that personality of hers was her utter resistance to provide the info that was demanded of her.Even knowing the consequences and what would happen to her.Why would she choose to go through something just as worse as she escaped from?I found that inconsistent with how she was portrayed.Luca is the antihero in this story.He’s a very bad man as he should be for his line of work.I love books that have the antiheroes in them.But with almost all the antiheroes in books I’ve read there are always at least one redeeming quality in them. Some won’t harm children or the elderly for example. But Luka had none.He never really redeemed himself in my eyes either.Overall a really good edition to the Blaire World and I world definitely recommend this book.

I got this book because it was Blaire's world and a new book but for some reason I didn't like it as much as the others. Usually when the characters meet one of them is broken and the other trust to put them back together but this one was more let's break you even more. And it was more Stockholm syndrome then love in my opinion
