This should hopefully be my last word on this percolator. It's a great percolator that brews quickly. Requires even less coffee than my hamilton beach one, 3 scoops equals 12 cups of bold flavorful coffee. The heating element did not go out as I previously stated, it was the outlet. it has a microwave and a toaster oven on the same circuit. Moving the thing to another outlet fixed the problem. I'm not certain it is really stainless steal, as a magnet will stick to it, although weakly. But the parts are all solid metal. It stays cool even if left on for hours. Except for the pot itself, that gets quite hot, but the base where all the electronics are stays cool. My hamilton beach percolator gets hot at the base. The coffee does not scorch as another reviewer stated. It will leave a very thin film of coffee residue on the bottom if left on for over 5 hours, but that scrubs off easily with dish soap. It's light weight, solidly built, and brews fantastic fofee. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that the spring on the stem is quite loose. A 40 scent one at your local hardware store takes care of that nicely. The stem does not bend, even with deliberate attempts, so all the parts are solidly built. It scrubs off nicely, and does not show fingerprints, and the spout does not drip.

Wow, does coffee ever taste better percolated! Plus stays so hot all day until you take it off the base. Seriously tho, it is a night and day difference from auto-drip makers! You won’t be disappointed, I promise! Also, this looks a far cry better than the ugly auto-drips!

This electric percolator is is great, and fast. Superb coffee in 8 minutes flat and very easy to clean all stainless steel construction. We've been using it now multiple times per day for over three weeks and it's working perfectly. We bought this for Summer use as a regular stove top percolator heats up the kitchen excessively. This electric percolator keeps the heat in the coffee and out of the kitchen.

Perfect. Exactly what I wanted. Elegant look. No cord to unplug once I'm ready to serve. I love that the heating element is in the base and not the pot, which means once it has perked, I can lift the pot off the base and take it to the table without having to unplug the cord--no fuss. Then just return the pot to the base and it starts to reheat again. Also with the heating element in the base, there's no problem hand washing the pot; just wipe the base to clean.

Purchased several times. Heats well, easy to clean.Do not wash the lid in dishwasher. The plastic cap will become brittle hence the several purchases.The second item became defective after a few uses. Called customer service they had a replacement sent out immediately with out any issues.

Best ever had. Hot delicious coffee. I only hope it’s always available I’ve used many brands trading Cuisinart in every 7-8 months as it doesn’t last This is high quality inside & out. They should all be made this well can’t beat the price eitherI tried to upload the photos of the broken pot after 9 months . actually 8 as it started making weird noises a month ago but I couldn't upload the photos. Computer trouble.

Love this coffee pot. I use it twice a day. I didn’t think i’d Like the charge plate but I do, it allows you to bring the pot to the table without the cord. I just keep it plugged in all the time, then place the pot on the plate when ready to brew. It has the old fashioned “perk” sound and makes a full pot in short order. There’s something neat about pouring from a spouted pot versus a regular old glass pot. Before this coffee maker, I was using a 1950’s model which gave out. The only reason I gave one star less was because of the material... the old ones were made from heavy stainless.

I have had this percolator for about three weeks now and use it almost daily to brew coffee and tea.Good:+ It makes great tasting coffee or tea all the time every time.Bad:- There is no shut-off button. You have to unplug each time after use or remove it from the base. If you forget to to do this, then it might burn the equipment if there is no liquid inside.- There is no way to control the liquid temperature. The brewed coffee is always too hot for me.- The stainless steel seems to stain quickly. Only three weeks and already stained. I think the stainless steel is of low quality. Plus cleaning it takes a bit of time.- Sometimes there is ground coffee/tea leakage so i have to use a strainer/sieve to as am pouring it to a cup. I recommend buying a coffee filter.- It get's too hot so always be careful to touch anything other than the handle.Verdict: Good for making great tasting coffee but beware of daily usage annoyances. Am currently looking for something that address some of my concerns.
