This fits 03-07 GMT800 platform following GM's retrofit directions
As some bean counter at GM decided to eliminate the cabin air filter from the GMT800 series from 03-07, this requires opening up the air handler under the dash and installing GM's retrofit cover. The screw bung and slot for this are molded in the truck already and it only took 15 minutes and a hand saw to open the hole. What took longer however was cleaning the 12 yrs of gunk that had accumulated since my truck , a 2005 Sierra 3500, did not come with the filter.The filter itself fit however I will not purchase it second time. There are two options for this filter, a single wide filter or a kit including two narrower filters. In order to install the single wide filter you have to squeeze and distort it because the angle of the floor/firewall interferes.

Check if you vehicle uses a cabin filter. A 2005 Silverado does not

i have had last few purchase that said perfect. plus 2005 chevy 1500 4 door crew cab doe not have a cabin filter according to gm
this filter fit a 2006 Toyota Avalon,but it said it was a perfect. you can figure this out when the filter 3x larger. DON'T SEND

Not for 2003 Chevrolet
It could be a good filter. However, it doesn't fit a 2003 Chev Suburban. Even though all parts supply resources says it does.GM changed the design so there's no filter change for 2003 and up. Thanks GM!
