MerrellTerran Cross II, Women's Hook and Loop Sandals

I saw these for sale, although out of stock, at £42 but was able to add to basket and went on a waiting list. They were dispatched a few weeks later and arrived just before my holiday.No breaking in was needed, although I did worry that my left little toe may fall out. It didn't!I ended up wearing them to the airport, on the plane, driving and then nearly every day of my walking holiday. The only time I took them off was when using the pool, going in the sea or walking in the mountain when I wore my Tevas or my hiking trainers.They had a lot of abuse and still look good and feel extemely comfortable.They were even smart enough to wear, with a pair of capri trousers and pretty top, to a nice restaurant.The memory foam is very comfortable underfoot and will eventually squash down, showing indentations after heavy use (see photo). This was expected though.Recommended

I wore these sandals for the first time today and they were an absolute joy to wear. The soles are super soft and bouncy, like walking on air. I normally wear a size EU 40 and the size UK 7 was perfect for slightly wider feet and quite generous in the length. The front straps are not adjustable but are so soft there is no rubbing. The ankle straps are soft with a wide comfortable strap around the heel. The styling is good, more elegant than some other sports sandals, not too clumpy or ugly. The colour of the off white putty is more like light olive green and coral pink. If you want comfortable sandals with no breaking in or blisters I highly recommend these.

I found these sandals to be lightweight & they seem sturdy. However the footbed was not comfortable for my foot, I didn’t find them supportive. And while I liked the strap design, it did not suit my foot so I returned them. I have a friend who has them & they look great on her & she finds them very comfortable. So don’t be put off trying them.

All I can say is WOW ….. these sandals are so comfortable, it’s like wearing a pair of slippers !! …. I am a standard size 6 but usually get a 5 to 5.5 in a sandal but after reading the reviews I went for size 6 & they are a perfect fit….. they have good support & there is no need to ‘wear them in’ ….. I frequently suffer from blisters when wearing sandals but not with these….. they are amazing …..they look great & are not ‘clumpy’ like a lot of walking sandals…… highly recommended !!

This is my second pair of these. They are extremely comfortable to wear, without any breaking-in required. The straps do not rub anywhere on my feet. I have quite narrow feet though, and find merrell a neat fit on me.The memory foam soles mean that I can walk quite long distances in comfort. However I don’t think they’re really designed for going “off road” like walking shoes.The only slight downsides: 1) the memory foam can make the soles of the feet quite hot after a while;2) they are tricky to keep clean. The insoles can get quite grubby after a while and scrubbing them by hand isn’t particularly satisfactory. After about two summers of use, I bought a new pair and put the old pair through a hand wash cycle in my washing machine inside a pillow case. They came out of that in good shape and still have some wear in them but I don’t think I’d recommend it as a regular cleaning method.

These were super comfy and I'm glad I got them, they are a little big so I recommend going a half or so size down.The memory foam was a godsend with all the walking I was doing while wearing these. Will buy again in future, also the colour is fantastic and they are easily washed!

You get what you pay for. These sandals are very comfortable and so light you hardly know you are wearing them. They are ideal if you need to look stylish and are going to be on your feet for a long time.They were comfortable from the first time I wore them. My only comment is the strap that goes across the top of your ankle isn't as long as I would have liked, but I am assuming it will stretch a little with wear
