What are these bay leaves?

Rani whole bay leaves, also known as Tej Patta, are dried Indian bay leaves used to add aroma to savory cooking.

What can I cook with them?

Add whole leaves while cooking biryani, pulao, curries, dals, soups, stews and gravies. Let them simmer with the dish, then remove before serving.

Should I remove the whole leaves?

Yes. Whole bay leaves are used to flavor food during cooking. Remove them before serving rather than eating the whole leaves.

Which whole-leaf sizes are available?

Standard whole leaves come in 50g, 100g, 200g and 454g bags; 12g, 40g, 100g and 454g PET jars; and a 15lb bulk box. Organic and powder options are separate variations.

How should I store them?

Keep airtight in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Reseal after opening and follow the storage instructions and date on your package.
