Can this be used without the bottom wheels/track? I would like to use it in an area with carpet

door panel will swing if you don't install bottom wheels/track. you can use normal floor guide instead of our bottom track.

Can I purchase just the bottom rail?

I have two doors using this system, and need new bottom track rails. We are putting in new flooring, so have to have new bottom track as the adhesive will not work again (and is so strong, it bends the rail to get if off the floor, making it impossible to reuse). Vendor--do you sell just that part separately?

Will this work with a standard solid core door, or will the door to be too heavy after cutting out the space for the hidden track?

If your door is 1-3/8" thick, you will have to deviate from the installation instructions. If you carve out for the track the full depth there won't be much material left at the top of the door to hold it up without using the bottom roller and track system to support it.
