HP DeskJet Plus 4130 All-in-One Wireless Inkjet Colour Printer

Arrived quickly which was a blessing with home schooling. Very easy to set up - have hard wired rather than set up on wifi. Good print quality and the 5 months free HP Instant ink is great - might even continue the subscription once it ends.Good features, fairly quiet and really like the multi document scanning - a great upgrade on the old printer that only did a page at a time.

The printer itself is great, exactly the same one I have at work BUT like that one I had to wait until I also bought a USB printer cable too. The HP smart software is just horrific. I was allowed to let the printer to connect to my router however it just wouldn't pick up the printer to be chosen 🤨. Just for giggles after I connected via USB I noticed that HP smart was recommending I could now connect wirelessly which I never did.So to end I recommend this printer WITH a USB cable bought at the same time!

OK, so i got this printer today, and anless you know your stuff when if comes to printers it will prove difficult to get up and running quickly, how ever, now mine is up and running, its working all fine, i did find that getting the wifi connected FIRST via my mobile phone, made everything else connect to it alot easier, it came with some trial ink, which is always a good thing. How ever after buying the same brand HP twice with a wifi related connection, and No touchscreen, it can have its issues. Only time will tell now if it was worth the money.

I bought this for work and it is a nightmare.It requires an intrusive third party app to function, so my work computer won't recognize it. So I set it up on my personal laptop. The instructions are awful and I could not get anywhere. So i set it up to print from my phone, except it requires that you upload documents to the freaking app in order to function. So, same problem.I am trying to return this mess of a printer at the moment.

actually easy to set up and use for a techno phobe

Great value for money. Ideal for me and my partner as we're both students. It is quite large but does the job extremely well.

My previous HP printer lasted for over 10 years in home use & never missed a beat before abruptly failing.An excellent machine! I've been retired for over 12 years & now only need a basic machine so decided on the 4130. It prints well & meets all my immediate needs but the software is atrocious & I had minimal success in getting my iMac & the printer to communicate so I'm using the latter manually. I'm no IT novice having worked with computers & IT since 1965. Whether using wifi or a USB cable my iMac will not recognise the 4130. Moreover, the printer puts out error messages continually. In lock down I'll keep the machine for the odd print job but am disappointed given how well my previous HP printer performed.ps. I have subsequently deleted the HP software & by using Apple AirTime got the iMac & printer to communicate & enable full functionality.
