My fan was almost dead and the computer ran super slow because of running it for months after it was making whining and even grinding noises. This is a perfect fit for a proprietary replacement that was no longer available to purchase through HP since this model isn't supported anymore. The fan may or may not be the original brand, but it is a perfect replacement for the stock fan.The seller who sold it here also sold it on AliBaba, but rather than take the risk buying through them, I paid about 5 or 6 bucks more on Amazon.Estimated shipping time was around 3 or so months, but I was happily surprised when it came in about a week to 10 days.I put it in my computer the day that I got it (many months ago now) and it runs silently and keeps the PC cool and has also improved the performance because it was overheating with the old fan that made a lot of noise and friction. I don't know if I'll ever have any need to in the future, but even though the seller is international I would definitely buy through them again.
