SYMA X9 RC Remote Control 2.4GHz 4-Channel 6-Axis Gyro Quadcopter Drone Car with Battery, Blue

Got this for our 6 year old, and it is fantastic. Very stable flight, decent battery life (for a RC copter that is), and the car functionality is pretty cool. The fact that it is so wide and has the wheels on it (compared to a regular helicopter style drone) mean that when it lands hard, it is usually right side up and can be driven to a good takeoff spot again and then taken right back off without having to go get it and put it upright again etc. Didnt take too long for out 6 year old to get the hang of the controls and he just loves it. The 2.4ghz controller is great, has an LCD display and trim controls for each steering direction, throttle, etc. Just amazing the quality of this toy for that price. I was shocked that you could get a decent quality, working RC copter w a decent remote and all for that price.The extra battery is a must add if you want to take it somewhere and play for any extended period, and I highly suggest the carrying case for it as well.

The biggest problems with this drone are in the general facts posted right here on the page, so you at least have an idea of what you're getting into. It's a small toy, and is pretty delicate. Battery life is atrocious and its flight is very unstable. With enough practice one should be able to fly it somewhat efficiently. The concept is pretty cool though, and I would like to see a larger, more durable version in the future with better stability.Update: 5 months in, it took a fall while flying at about 6-12 inches. It's wheels no longer turn and the rear rotors don't seem to provide fill thrust. Don't expect much from it for very long.

Iv owned lots of drones. Cheep ones a fancy one with camera. I have to say i was blown away. An shocked bye how smooth this little guy was. Went from driving to flying with ease. Had suck controll in the air i was just empressed. Lasted 2 years took a few real nice diggers. Before it finally died on me. I would recomend this drone to every one. Just wished it had a camera. Even know it didnt have a great distance. Or like heavy wind very much. The amount of fun this thing was. Made up for all that. Im buying another one.

I have to admit I purchased the Syma X9 as much for my interest in Quadcopters as for playing with the dog and cat :-) This one is a lot of fun and the extra battery a huge plus!! Flight stability is superb and when my cat thinks she can escape by hiding underneath a table I can land and use this as a car. I have to admit to some bumps and hard landings and the X9 has handled it all. I highly recommend this item, both me and my daughter love it!!Note: I don't usually do the review thing but I really like this item that I purchased on the Amazon site at regular price.

I got this for my husband as a gift for Christmas and he loved it! But one of the pieces broke on it and now he can't use it after only a month of use..., this is very upsetting and since we got it here on Amazon, they can not fix it. So now it's wasted snd un useable, very upsetting.

This was a pretty fun and easy to use drone that taught my kids the basics of using a drone.

Broke within two flights, it completely stopped turning right, and there were no serious crashes. I took it apart to look for broken pieces and nothing to be found. I tried to trim it and still not turning right.

This was a nice RC car/drone. I did however return this one for one fromSharper image . The sharper image one was on sale for the sale price as this one. It was larger, the propellers had guards around them and LED lights. This one appeared to be nice though.
