Perfect size!
My 5 year old LOVED this gift! It's smaller than I had expected (I didn't look for demensions before purchasing!) but it was a pleasant surprise, because it's small enough for her to tote around town without getting it getting in the way.. I have even tossed it into my purse a couple of times when she was tired of carrying it. The sewing itself was a bit more work for her- but she was able to do it herself with a bit of guidance. I was so excited to introduce her to hand sewing with this adorable little set, and she truly enjoyed creating her own sweet little stuffed animals to play with! I highly recommend this as a gift for any little ones that are interested in crafting!

Perfect gift
Very cute and not to difficult for my 5 year old. Would be a great gift for any beginning seamstress. The holes in the felt pull, making them bigger, especially on the blanket. Overall a worthwhile purchase.

Adorable craft set
Adorable craft set! This was purchased for a 9 year old, but a younger child could do it as well. The manufacturers recommended ages are 8-15. The holes are prepunched in the felt animal and the needles are made of plastic. Overall a great value. I paid just $3 as as Add On item and that was perfect! This would look adorable in an Easter Basket! Perfect as a Stocking Stuffer! I like having rainy day crafts on hand and this one worked out great for us.

Great Quality & Made for Beginners
Our 7-yr old loves this craft toy, and I am definitely pleased with the quality and ease of use. Especially since I don't sew. :-)#1 concern = She wouldn't be able to do it on her own (that I'd be doing all the sewing) -- but that's not the case. Now, I do need to sit with her to correct a stitch or two, but for the most part, once I showed her how to do the stitch, she got the hang of it.#2 concern = The needle would be too sharp or useless -- but that's also not the case. The needles are plastic and thick and easy to use, and the point is about as "sharp" as a ballpoint pen. Definitely not something that can poke through skin. The instructions are clear and include a "cheat sheet" for the different types of stitches. The cheat sheet was essential for me since I don't sew (and certainly didn't know the names of the different stitches). One thing I wish they had was tips on threading and knotting the string. It's easy enough to thread the string through the needle, but I'm not sure of the best way of knotting each end.

So cute!
So cute! My daughter is 6 and really wanted a sewing project. This has been perfect, the directions were easy for her to follow and the pre-punched holes made it so easy for her to do this project. 2 needles are provided so that's fantastic in case one breaks, although ours didn't break but they did get pretty bent up by the end. The perfect amount of stuffing and just the right amount of thread. A very cute finished project was super cute with the tin to carry everything in.

It was ok
I had got this craft for me and my daughter to do together but what I didn't like about the project is that there was enough material to finish the craft. The instructions weren't very clear especially when they give you instructions of different types of sewing stiches. But, I love the overall craft because it is so cute and I love the fact she can take with her any were she goes.

My daughter loved this! She is 7 and there were different stitches that it taught her. I never bought she would finish the whole thing, but she did! She was super excited and it was one of the first activities she did from her Christmas presents. Captured her attention for a lot more time than the more expensive robotic gifts she wanted.

5 year old loves it
My 5 year old daughter was so proud when she did this mostly herself with her grandmother. The blanket did require a bit more challenging of a stitch for a 5 year old. But it was still a great project. I would buy another one of these for her one as a present in the future.
