Galaxy S5 Active Case, i-Blason Prime Series Dual Layer Holster Case with Kickstand and Locking Belt Swivel Clip for Samsung Galaxy S5 Active [Will Not Fit the Regular Galaxy S5 i9600] (Green)

This review is prefaced on my having had the case for less than one day. Based on that, I can't really evaluate the cases durability. I can, however, evaluate the features of the email case, the apparent design and construction.This case is a beast. Design wise it is very similar to some otter boxes except that the rubber is on the inside. This is a very good design consideration because the rubber then provides better shock absorption and a tighter fit on the phone. The rubber is fairly thick, yet is remarkably easy to take off and put on.The hard shell is also beefy. It clips onto the rubber to give a good solid unit. It pushes out past the high resolution rear camera which offers added protection against damage from flat drops. The rigid plastic improves the crush protection characteristics of the case and give a better grasping surface in terms of ergonomics. The hard shell also has an independent stand to support the phone for watching videos that folds flush to the rest of the shell and locks into place.The holster is detachable and firmly holds the rest of the case with a plastic clip latch. The belt clip has a small rod that can be pushed out to provide an additional stand. The phone will only latch into the holster with the screen inward. This is good for two reasons: it protects the screen and it prevents other people from seeing your on screen notifications on your belt which protects your privacy.Construction wise, thus case system is very well put together and appears to use high quality materials. It is a good compliment for the actives ruggedized design.Overall, this is a very good case and an exceptional deal, on the surface at least. I added a tempered glass screen protector to finish the package and recommend you do the same. The case has many features only seen in much more expensive cases.

I was skeptical even after reading other reviews, I didn't expect to get much for $20 but after opening the package I was already surprised at the quality. The case fit like a glove, tight and secure, the buttons all lined up perfectly, the headphone jack , charging port and heart rate scanner are all easily accessible. I have only had the case for 2 days now but I cannot imagine why it wouldn't hold up, it is not made of any brittle plastic, the fold out kick stand as I call it snaps in very securely, actually it is a little tight to get pulled out but I prefer that. The case also comes with a very nice belt clip, it is rubber coated and felt lined to protect your screen. The phone snaps in to the clip very securely alleviating the worry of it accidentally popping out. The clip rotates so you can wear it straight up and down or sideways. Again, I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of this case and at $20 it is a steal. My hats off to the manufacturer for a great product at a more than reasonable price, companies like this are hard to come by these days.

Excellent case for the S5 Active. The fit is snug and the edges are raised enough to protect the screen and rear facing camera. I didn't need the holster, but the kickstand is a nice feature. The case makes the phone slightly bulkier but not so much it's an issue. Highly recommend this case.

When I originally ordered this item it was through a third party seller who not only shipped me a case for a phone other than the one I ordered, but substituted a Chinese knockoff, not the iBlason brand I ordered. The seller must have gotten caught, because when I went back to Amazon to get my money back, the actual Amazon page for the item I purchased had been replaced by one where the item was sold by the iBlason factory and fulfilled by Amazon. Even though it was not their fault the third party seller was deceptive, Amazon immediately refunded the money I had paid the third party, and sent me an actual iBlason branded case. I am greatly pleased by how Amazon handled the situation.As for the case itself, the iBlason one I received it is much sturdier than some of the reviews indicated (maybe they were reviewing the knockoff). I use the holster a lot and I have never felt as if the belt clip was going to break off, as some have said. Getting in and out of the car, I'm always slamming and scraping the holster on the seatbelt buckle and no indication at all that it can't take the punishment.I got the red case, and the only problem I have seen so far is that the black dye from the holster's velvet-like lining rubs off a bit onto the red rubberized case at the corners (about 1/4 inch of the case rim on the two bottom corners where it rubs going in and out of the holster.). Simple to fix this by buying the black holster instead of the red.Otherwise it is everything I was hoping it would be. I like the standup clip that flips out from the case, the back of the hard shell that covers the gel case is thick enough to protect the rear camera lens when I lay it down, but doesn't add much to the thickness. Plus I no longer accidentally hit the power button, with the case on the phone, it takes a little more pressure to make it activate, just enough to keep me from hitting it when I don't intend to. I have the S5 Active which has its own impact protection built in, but I am really rough on phones, and I feel the case adds some piece of mind, cheap insurance to reduce the risk of having to replace my $600 phone on my own dime.

I ordered two of these cases for my s5. I love the cases like the construction and like the feel but they do not fit the phone properly the up and down volume buttons are not in line with the buttons on the phone and it creates a sticking problem

I like the case itself. The clip however broke within the first hour of using it. I emailed the seller and let them know about this defect. They asked for a picture of the damage. I sent them a picture of the damage. I never heard back from them again. I then return the item to Amazon unsatisfied by the inferior quality of the plastic clip for your belt. Half the reason I purchased this one was the belt clip. Again it failed within 4 hours it failed when I exited my automobile and my phone pressed against the seat.
