Does not fit with the MytyCross 800 at all. Completely different brackets. Not sure if it has to do with how long I've had my Cygolite (a few years) but definitely not compatible.

To those that say it doesn't fit, it is ...
To those that say it doesn't fit, it is because the older one had a different backplate, you can get the plate oddly when you buy the the handlebar mount, but not when you order the helmet mount. Additionally, they don't provide the same big fat Velcro strap that comes in a new box to mount the battery.

Turn your Cygolite Metro 550 into a Headlamp with this Kit
I purchased this to turn my Cygolite Metro 550 into a headlamp. The mounting kit accepts the Metro 550 headlamp. I took my dremel tool and cut notches for an elastic headband.Now I can hike with a Cygolite Metro 550 headlamp hands-free or use the Cygoite Metro 550 with the handlebar mount.
